It took me less than a minute to sign it and you can choose to remain anonymous. If you want to add a comment but can’t think of anything, here’s something to get you going (but I highly recommend you write your own lest we have another situation where signatures are viewed as fake for copy and pasted content): 

“Star Trek has forever served as a beacon of hope for equality, justice, and good to prevail in a world that so often disappoints and fails us. For Quentin Tarantino to have an role in continuing the franchise is a blatant slap to the face for all Star Trek fans of all generations. A child rape apologist has no place in this franchise. An alleged abusive director has no place in this franchise. A man who knew first hand what Harvey Weinstein was doing to women and told him to “make it right” if he wanted a place on his films has no place in this franchise. Quentin Tarantino has no place in this franchise.”

I don’t care how desperate any of us are for another movie. It would be meaningless and a slap in the face to anyone who has ever suffered abuse like this if this monster works on it. Sign the petition and make some damn fan films if you need to, but keep this man far away from Star Trek.

Sign, sign, sign! It’s not useless! Change.org’s petitions are gaining more and more weight in final decision. We can show that we, the fandom, will not endorse this heresy. What Tarantino represents isn’t what Star Trek represents. Things are going much too far. Let it be known how many of us will not pay to watch such a movie in any form or shape.

Whether or not the petition itself is effective, if it gets enough attention it will be a clear message to the Star Trek team that the fans want no part of this decision and that they should look elsewhere. Give the franchise to someone good who loves it and will care for it– and it’s actors– as we have.

Always worth a shot. I’m also wondering if we could potentially write to the actors. Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine certainly seem the type to listen to their fans, and they have good hearts and a passion for social justice– Simon Pegg and many of the others as well, I’m sure… but Lord knows if they’d actually receive the letters.
