Tonight I realized something I want to share, something that's kept me up at night. Some of you noticed I was upset with my boyfriend. He should have told me about his leaving sooner. And I was upset. Not so much because of his clumsiness, but because of my own insecurity.

And I've discovered it has to do with love. I've never felt so exposed to someone in my own solitude. I wasn't with him. I was in my room, alone, obsessively wondering if what we have would survive. He's the one leaving. He's the one who should be like this, not me. And yet, I feel powerless and surrendered, upset and exposed at the same time. And I have nothing to cover myself with. Only my hands. Today I hate this love that burns inside me in my solitude, that strips me bare, and that I don't want to escape. Even hating burning in solitude, I prefer it to not feeling it at all.
