Feeling a hint of both frustration and paranoia build, he scrapes at the grass beneath him with his feet in hopes that the blonde wouldn’t notice. Before continuing his speech, Lauriam turns away from his random helper of the day.
“They’re supposed to keep the monsters in this hole calm. I’ve been meaning to ask for help with these...” What were those called again? “...I think they’re imps?”
A pause as he thinks the creature over, the name at least sounded right.
“Yes. Imps. I’ve been meaning to get rid of them for a long while, but I’m not exactly the best at fighting.”
The witch, feeling pleased with his set up, turns back to Demyx.
“That’s where you come in.”
Now all there’s left to do before trying to eradicate a demon’s nest was to pray that his helper doesn’t ask why he didn’t just go to the order about this.

WHAT DID I JUST SAY
This post leaped out of my computer, shamed me in front of G0D, ate all my chocolate, and left the toilet seat up.
Ayyy Sorry I’ve been Non Existent(tm) for the past couple days. I may or may not have gotten a bit addicted to LoL with some recent buddies and been spending a LOT of time with them.
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I want to At Least get some work done on this blog tonight before I spend all my day on birthmas stuff, but I’m also gonna give a heads up about a short hiatus from the 13th to quite possibly the 30th. Goin’ back to michigan to take care of my Aunt’s farm and then visiting an old friend for two weeks.

That much was fair, A weapon like that would certainly draw the eye of those more power hungry.
“I simply wish to know whether it’s broken or not, if you don’t know that’s fine.”
Hopefully, that would be lightly enough, though there was still a heavy air of discomfort coming from the man. While he won’t press on it for the sake of the other, something about his nervousness about the situation strikes the witch as a little more than just hearing rumors of the cursed sword.
“If it makes you feel any better, I don’t really have any reason to possess such a thing. Nor do I have any of the skills to hunt it down.”
“That much I am uncertain of.” He wasn’t around for it, but the rumors were that the swords were destroyed and the Alexandra kids seemed to have confirmed this. Still, he’d only believe it when he sees it. The swords had done too much for him to just rest easy in the so-called knowledge that they were gone. They had a pesky habit of coming back and finding the next fool to claim them.
“There are rumors, but as with the nature of such things, they are unsubstantiated.” He needed more than just the word of two people, especially those so taken by the swords, he needed to see it.
“So say many,” he starts, brows knitting at the man’s insistence that he had no reason to possess them. Had Raphael no good reason to possess them once upon a time? And yet he sought them as if they were the Holy Grail itself. Possessed by a desire to claim something so great and bend it to his own warped will, “but that does not mean it is fact.”
A pause, “the swords choose who takes them, not the other way around.”
This just kept getting worse, didn’t it?
“Then the idea of me possessing it is even lower. I’m no fighter.”
Would malfestation ever truly be cured? While he does hope so, the powers that this sword seemed to have makes the chances of it devastatingly low.
Even so, since it does seem to be a curse, Lauriam could at least find a way to weaken the spell’s effects in case he does have to try curing it from someone in the village.
“But I digress, All I can do until it is broken is pray that it’s harmed far fewer people since the azure knight’s demise.”
“You guys are striving to be good?”

“Yeah. I mean it’s not exactly wrong in all reality.” Skuld admitted. That was one of the reasons why she carried her gun in the first place. And a reason that as the other said was more believable then the truth of why she actually had it.
“Sorry if I seem kind of strange or that. I’ve just had a lot happen to me that keeps me on edge all the time.”
At those final words, his expression softens considerably.
Could his fear be unfounded... For once?
“I can relate to that.”
Finally, he gives her a much more welcoming smile. Now that he feels like he can her a chance at trust, he might as well give her his name, at least.
“-Oh, but where are my manners?”
Now he shifts the weight of the crate in his hands so that he can hold it in one hand without shaking the bottles and other materials inside too much, allowing his other hand to reach out to the newcomer.
“Lauriam. I’m the doctor in this village, I live over-” He turns, pointing at a lonely little cottage hiding just before the town’s surrounding forest. “There. If you need a roof over your head tonight, I can make some room later.”
