Also it's pointless to list statistics here since every *single* car crash involving a child is going to be reported. Not even half of all petty crime is reported, especially in areas where its already bad because there's no point with how authorities will never follow up on it and insurance won't cover it without a full investigation that'll never happen.

Urbanites will tell you your car getting its window bashed in for a cellphone charger three times a year is part and parcel but a some inattentive parent backing over their kid in the driveway means the whole neighborhood is unsafe (and not actually a singular, tragic event)
