It always starts with a wiggle.

Just a little one.

You shift in your seat. Hug your stuffie a little tighter.

Your face goes pink… just barely, but Mommy knows that look.

She watches from across the room, smiling gently as you scoot your padded bottom into the corner of the couch, legs spreading a bit wider, pacifier bobbing nervously in your mouth.

You try to be sneaky.

Try to keep playing with your blocks.

Try to pretend everything is totally normal.

But then you freeze.

Breathe in deep.

And give the tiniest little push.

There it is. That telltale squish.

The warmth spreads quickly in your diaper. Your eyes flutter. Your face burns. You can feel it; soft, heavy, settling into the back of your padding as you fill your diaper right there in the living room.

And then… silence.

No words. Just the thick smell of your accident rising up around you as your body finally relaxes.

Mommy tilts her head.

You bury your face in your stuffie and let out a tiny whimper.

It’s too late to hide it.

Too late to pretend you’re not her mushy-bottomed baby now.

She walks over slowly. Kneels down beside you. Cups the seat of your diaper with one warm, knowing hand.

You nod. A tiny, shaky nod. Too little to lie.

And Mommy just smiles.

“You’re such a good baby. That’s exactly what your diaper is for.”

She lifts you into her arms, squish and all, and carries you off to the changing table with a kiss on your cheek. Oh my, your face red, your heart fluttering, and your diaper very, very full.
