honestly existing in this country is so exhausting like why are there so many bigots. why dont people trust science. why are we so motherfucking racist. like im so exhausted and i hate this rat-invested hellhole honestly i dont think theres a point in trying to change it anymore. bigotry is so ingrained in our culture that only a crazy individual would try to change it.

manusia manusia intoleran menggembar gemborkan bahwa masayrakat bali “menolak” ahok jadi gubernur dan mereka merelasikan ini dengan kejadian jakarta kemarin. padahal alasan mengapa bali “menolak” ahok jadi gubernur mereka sangat berbeda dan tidak bisa disamakan. saya juga memakai kata menolak dengan sangat liberal, karena masyarakat bali tidak menolak tetapi memilih calon yang lain karena beliau putra daerah dan dinilai lebih mengenal masalah dan adat istiadat bali.
masyarakat bali tidak mengecam pak ahok karena agamanya, tidak demo yang berujung kekerasan menolak pak ahok, tidak mengeluarkan slander dan segala macam hinaan-hinaan rasis kepada pak ahok, tidak menggunakan basis agama untuk menolak pak ahok.
perlu saya ingatkan juga bahwa agama dan daerah adalah dua hal yang berbeda.
dan perlu saya ingatkan bahwa concern yang sama juga muncul saat pak jokowi pertama muncul menjadi calon gubernur jakarta, salah satu retorika oposisi adalah bahwa pak jokowi bukan putera jakarta dan takutnya tidak mengenal seluk beluk jakarta sebaik itu.

a man can be forced into parenthood without his consent over a mistake. Random boners, like jesus my friend got one and I was like, “have this book.”
Men are told they can’t show their emotions in fear of being mocked.
Men are screwed over in divorce. Chikd custody.
Men are seen as monsters. Rapists. Abusers. Are always the bad guys.
Hating men is seen as normal and justifiable, but hating women is the worse thing.
When they see a poor men somebody will say, “how did he fuck up privilege.”
Men are always see as less of a care giver.
No domestic abuse shelters for men even though they make up 40% of the cases (and the percentage is rising). Don’t forget that they are more likely to be arrest than the female abuser when the cops arrive.
Their mental health is taken less seriously.
Men who have been raped are called lucky.
I’m sorry but you’re do ignorant it hurts.
Also don’t use the, “you’re just a male uou don’t know what women go through,” because I’ve been a female for my entire life, and it’s a lot easier, because I’m a female.

Sukabumi-born Saridjah Niung, better known as Mrs. Soed, was a well-loved musician, teacher, radio announcer, playwright and batik artist in Indonesia. Her music delighted the ears of young children, and to this day, they can be heard singing along to the tune of her most popular songs: ”Hi Pedicab,” “Strong Kids,” and “Butterflies.”
Along with music for kindergarten-aged kids, she was also revered for her patriotic hymns. She wrote masterpieces during the Dutch colonial years about the Japanese occupation and Indonesia’s independence. Mrs. Soed also wrote the Indonesian national anthem “Fatherland,” and “Berkibarlah Benderaku.”
Today, we celebrate Saridjah Niung Soedibjo Star’s artistic contributions on what would have been her 109th birthday.

Men are always talking about what’s “natural” but in nature it’s always the males of the species that have to be pretty or work really hard to get the females.
I want to see more men dressing up and wearing makeup. Dance for me. Build me a fucking house. Impress me, you mediocre fucks.
Like the ‘it’s only natural’ argument is such bull tbh. Like studying natural behaviour and stuff, Gender roles in nature are so varied and arbitrary. It’s so stupid to assume males are usually dominant. Like, here are just some of the many, many, many examples:
Matriarchal Species: Killer Whales, Spotted hyenas, BEES, Meerkats, Ants, Mole rats, Buffalo, Clownfish, Lemurs and (our closest relatives) Chimps!
Species where males stay home look after the kids: Sea Horses, Marmosets, Giant water bugs, Sandpipers, Reas & Emus, Bat-ear foxes, Some frogs
Species Where females are usually more promiscuous: Topi Antelope, Chimps (again ;) ), Hedge Sparrows, Antechinus (marsupial shrews)
Species that are often gay/bisexual: Dolphins, Penguins, Ravens, Elephants, Reindeer, Bears/Pandas, Albatross, And (surprise surprise) Chimps (in fact 60% of female bonobo chimps exhibit homosexual activity).
Species that can physically change gender/change gender behaviours: Clownfish, Cuttlefish, Common Reed Frogs, Gobies, Bearded Dragons
This is literally the tip of the iceberg. I could even say gender roles like ours are not the majority in nature. Hell, There’s are even new studies that suggest that the gender roles of early man where the reverse of what they are today. So basically there’s nothing natural about traditional sexuality or gender roles. They are very much man-made, socially constructed.

Listen. Pay attention. You'll hear them talk about giants and beasts. About a time when men walked with them. You'll listen to their horror and their sorrow. Oh, how red was the earth when blood spilled.

The stars talk. Boy do they love to talk. Beings as ancient as they are, they have observed the rise and fall of empires. Far before we even knew them to guide us in time of peril.
They council. They discuss. They have decided that humans, are, once again, in need of their assistance.
“So they will rise again,” one intones.
“The beasts, the beasts,” another cries, “let us call upon the beasts.”
They gather their light, and upon a magnificent effort, they bring forth the souls of the large lizards, and the giant birds, and the monsters of the sea.
And so the beasts rise.
It’s a shame that they still remember who wiped them off the face of this earth sixty million years ago.
