It's been three whole years of me thinking about you everyday
Sometimes for hours, sometimes in passing
Dreaming of Monet (by Milamai)
psa to all women:
i just found this super cool reusable menstrual pad that will save us thousands of bucks
apparently an average woman spends about $120/year on pads and tampons and an additional $20/year on medications for cramps and other period side effects. since we menstruate for approximately 40 years, we spend (40 times 140) = $5,600 for our period over our lifetime.
IMAGINE WHAT YOU CAN BUY FOR $5,600?!?!
which is why i turned to menstrual pads. eco-friendly, economical and healthy
also, im saying goodbye to everyone in the public bathroom knowing im on my period
i got the pads here and they have all the info on their website!
also check out other eco-friendly products with their info here!
I’ve read about diapers, tampon and pads containing toxic chemicals:
“A recent study published in Reproductive Toxicology3 confirms the results of a previous study4 from 2014 demonstrating how the feminine care industry sells products containing harmful chemicals, including pesticides, fragrances, dyes and preservatives.”
So not only are menstrual pads cheaper, they’re also safer for your body!
sis i got this and have been using reusable pads for three years i can tell y’all it’s 100% reliable than your ex telling you hes a changed man, 100% discreet than your ex’s loud chewing and 100% healthier than your toxic relationship
so stop thinking of your ex and start using reusable pads instead
both sis got points but i dont know which point drove me into buying the pad
its probably thinking about what i can buy for $5,600 like thats so overwhelming thats 10% of my college debt right there
I built my stock pile when I was like 19 and have been using them since. Take care of them and they’ll last a long time. Also cups are amazing! Both are way more comfortable imo too! Kind of large investment at first but I haven’t had to buy ANY period products in like 3 years.
How am I 22 and just learning about this
REUSABLE PADS ARE LIFE!
If the idea of keeping one on all day grosses you out, get as many as you want. Spend the money you usually spend on disposable products on them every month until you have a ridiculous amount and keep a wet bag with you.
They also pair well with menstrual cups if you’re able to use them for heavy days.
I am broke and disabled and have super sensitive skin. These have been a lifesaver for me.
for the people asking how to clean them, i usually soak my used ones overnight and wash it the next day.
also, whenever i feel grossed by the blood, i just think, ‘hey i clean my own wound when i get cuts and theres blood and im fine.” also, i always remind myself that this is my own blood so it shouldnt be gross at all’
lastly, using it is not as complicated or bad as you might imagine. my reusable pads actually make me look forward to each period i get. sometimes i even use it during long car rides or plane rides and it makes me feel good cause its just like cotton hugging me down there. i swear its worth every penny.
HIGHLY recommend cloth pads. I will never miss an opportunity to stan them. I couldn’t get anywhere close to inserting a Diva cup correctly. Cloth pads are so much more comfortable and can be used and then washed with cold water and set aside for laundry day. Fun patterns, money savings, no waste, better for you… Give them a try!
Anybody have any brand suggestions?
@a-terf i got the pads from the link above!
this one: https://cariona.com/collections/sale/products/reusable-menstrual-pads-waterproof-pouch
i bought the ten pieces and ordered 5 more after. i love that the whole pad including the wings is cotton because my biggest problem with commercial pads is it would give me rashes
“The fear of getting hurt again has only led you to hurt yourself. Come out now. Come out while there’s still some living left to be done. This person who hurt you doesn’t deserve to still dictate your life decisions. Your discipline and dedication to structure is an illusion. You’re still powerless because you’re letting certain incidents define your life. If you really want to be in control again, you have to learn to let go again. It’s the only way.”
