Final photos of my books, handed in my book and will get feedback on 14th January
Collage each book with different carboard textures to get different colours. Took inspiration from Kurt schwitters.
Did a free machine embroidery sewing over a photo of my books. Will take the paper off after it’s done and then try a coloured one and possibly a reverse Appliqué one.
Going back on feedback given and decided to make my books more natural with their already given characteristics.
Finally finishing my black and white versions and then doing my drawings off my photos with mixed media will use cardboard to get a collage effect.
Creating drawn versions of my finished books, with tracing paper drawings to create a different look.
Created the cardboard versions of my stack of books, took a lot of practices but finally came up with a great look that used the characteristics of the cardboard.
Creating my black and white stack of books to see whether they actaully blend together as a stack of books than being coloured.
Visited Manchester to see State Champs and really seeing everything that is linked to still life, how it’s all around us and can be literally anything.
Creating 3D cardboard versions of the book stack. Using industrial glue guns and Stanley knifes to get clean edges but also ripping the sides to get a textured edge like a book.
Colour versions of books, going to try black and white version next.
Creating nets for my books, taken on a white background.
Adding up to date references of artists for my digital and textile lanyard designs
Creating 3D nets for my stack of books, trying out what thickness of each box will be and how to get the designs on some.
Creating a copy of my lanyard by using new layers to fill in colours and create a whole new digital lanyard.
Finished textile version of my lanyard and have now got all three versions done ready to be put in and evaluated.
And then created a textile version with free machine embroidery and then i messed around with the digital side with photoshop to change the threshold and the colour to make it seem abstract.
