UFC 274 is coming up next month on the 7th. You got Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje. The rematch between Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza. These two strawweights fought back in TUF 20. Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson. We see the return of Cowboy Cerrone. In my opinion, this card is a banger. Stacked prelims will possibly be the most entertaining part of UFC 274. I plan on dropping big money on some parlays. UFC 273 just wrapped up and it lived up to as was expected. One upset as Aljamain Sterling wins against Petr Yan by decision. Aljo was a massive underdog. As for the other underdogs Burns and Korean Zombie, they took a loss. Great prelims, especially Mike Mallot showed impressive skill against Mickey Gall. Oleinik had an amazing neck crank against Vanderaa. Oleinik is 44 years old and if I’m not mistaken that was his 60th professional fight last night. What a great time to be a UFC fan.

Let’s talk about Aljamain Sterling. “And Still” the bantamweight champion. Won by decision against Petr Yan last night at UFC 273. My question is, why did people doubt Aljo? He is one of the best in that division. As you know his last performance was a victory due to the disqualification of Petr Yan. Yan made the decision to hit Aljo with an illegal knee. Aljo also had a reason why Sterling vs. Yan 1 went that way, it was because he had a bad recovery from the weight cut. The MMA community has a problem with downing someone who has a controversial loss or victory. The community rips into these fighters as they fight in a cage or something. Half of these people wouldn’t take the time to hit the gym. I just hope people realize fighters won’t win every fight. These guys are a different breed they put lives on the line. It is their passion to step in there and go to war.

About 2 years ago I told a friend of mine about Pereira and how if he ever stepped in the UFC, he would be damn near unstoppable against any striker (in middleweight of course). Then I showed him footage of Pereira winning against Adesanya twice. One decision and one KO. Now Pereira is on a 2-win streak in the UFC. His next opponent is Sean Strickland. Strickland is the #4 ranked fighter in the middleweight division. This is an easy win for Pereira. Strickland is a great striker, but the power is nowhere close to Pereira. People may say Adesanya is too technical for Pereira, or he has experience over Pereira in MMA. Surely, these things play a factor but, Pereira is surely a technical fighter it shows in his kickboxing career. I can’t wait to see this matchup and it’s not kickboxing this time. What a wonderful time to be a fan.

KAI KARA FRANCE! He defeated Askar Askarov at UFC Columbus. I want to see what he’s got against Moreno or Figueiredo. I honestly think Moreno has a better chance the Figgy. France said he wants to wait for the winner of those two. I don’t think that match is even in the works. He put on a master performance. His takedown defense has grown sky-high. Maybe GC was right about France being champ soon. Figgy might be on his last tank with fighting at flyweight. Cutting too much weight is dangerous and we have seen what it did to him in his 2nd fight with Moreno. With France close to a title shot. He has a high possibility of getting it. As for Askarov, he should fight Royval or Moreno. People hate on flyweights, but this division is popping. Pantoja maybe should match up with Askarov. I really cant figure this one out.
