Fuuuck I just loss 20000 dollars in adverisement revenue and potential sales when that guy over there didn’t look at my flyer because he was talking to the girl he was walking with. The sensible option here is to ban talking while walking since it’s literally theft.
in chess the queens can kill each other which is toxic yuri and the kings can never get within a square of each other which is doomed yaoi

i know the way people talk about their pets now is probably how we’ve been doing it for all of history. a cat owner in ancient rome saw their cat lounging on the dining pillows and commented “he thinks himself to be the senator claudius 🤣”

this is incredible
where's that native meme that's like "lol you worship the sun lmao" and they respond "ok. the sun is real"
hello i have this
"it's just stress" oh thank god, it's just the silent killer that slowly kills you, perfectly harmless, no need to worry
still working on the collection
white europeans love to pretend like the united states and europe aren’t two cheeks of the same ass
Listen, nobody who's ever opened a history book says we didn't do that shit first. Pick an atrocity and chances are there was a time europeans did it on mass to someone for the sake of profit. The difference, is that we have for the most part put that behind us, while the US is just sinking deeper and deeper into it. We're not perfect, and we were a lot worse in the past. But it has been a while since we were the problem
so the racism, antiblackness, islamophobia, and hatred for immigrants just disappeared huh
"its been a while since we were the problem" someone Black was murdered by police violence in Ireland last month
Germany wants to put an amonia plant in the Gulf of California, in Mexico. As of today, the population of the municipality of Topolobampo, Sinaloa is trying to stop heavy machinery with their own bodies, day and night, they're blocking roads and hoping that the government of Germany—which is well aware of the catastrophical consequences of this ecocidal project but reasons that it doesn't affect them directly—stops it or does anything substantial about it. I understand that rn the USA and Israel wanna colonize us in the most literal sense, but Europe has been on our ass non-stop as well, all while blatantly denying it
I fear something really might happen during the World Cup in Mexico, and that the blame may fall completely on the wrong people. Also, google search is so fried wtf
As the date of the World Cup Soccer nears, the rhetoric that Mexicans are a dirty, undeserving people do so as well, I cannot hope to speak about every single thing that preoccupies me in this post but I can try: as a person who lives in one of the host cities for the cup I see the push back that is happening every day near where the soccer matches are happening, near the principal avenues and the highways, near the universities, and in the public transportation system. Against any sort of order or even common sense, the governor's actions this year seem to align with the interests of foreign activities over those of the people who live here, be it hiding the undesirable parts of the cities in the north, brutalizing university professors and primary school teachers in the capitol, and even disappearing 53 highschool students this week in classical police fashion, escalating violence in the days following up to international events in this country.
In Mexico (the state and the city too) the response against protesters is, unsurprisingly, barricading and attacking citizens who demand accountability for the disproportionate number of disappeared persons this year, the historic violence against sexual workers, the cease of school activities for the World Cup, I mean, the list is quite long and these are only ones off the top of my head like??? I haven't even mentioned yet the president's suggestion that Mexicans don't go outside at all so the city can better accommodate tourists.
There's also the public transit chaffeurs general strike in Mexico City on the eleventh (here's to hoping this also happens in the other cities) so I'm not sure even tourists will be able to move at all the day of the inauguration. I might be forgetting a strike or two atp ://
With a 98% tax exemption on all FIFA activities, as well as countless permissions that so blatantly go against Mexican law (like that of the 50 thousand volunteers in a country where only non-profit organizations can request volunteers in this scale), the World Cup may actually pose a threat to public safety this Thursday. And I'm a little fearful that something even worse might yet happen this week.
ALSO the organization that is supposed to report seismic activity in the area with lots of seismic activity is not doing its job??? So can someone please tell the tourists that the National Seismological is not alerting of any relevant seismic activity that might occur during the world cup
They're making a Day of the Death parade in June 😭 I hate the government
