The few months that had passed led her into the final month of her pregnancy, the baby that had been the result of an affair that she'd been so panicked about fell by the wayside when the news had come that, not only did they manage to get pregnant doing what they were doing, but it'd somehow happened before, when they'd barely even known what they were doing. Rhys had come back after a few days pretending like nothing had happened, she knew he was planning his next move, even after they'd fallen into a new daily routine of silence and motions. Adalet would have typically found herself indulging in the normalcy, but she couldn't have been any farther from it. Instead, she found herself meeting up with Jackson during a particularly sunny day at a playground near his home, far away from where she could run into anyone she knew near hers, the truth behind her pregnancy and her youngest daughter still unknown to their neighborhood and she'd prefer to keep it that way for as long as she could. To the outside, she and Rhys still appeared like a happily married couple with a growing family. Adalet watched as the almost three-year-old played in front of them, dark curls bouncing along as she dumped sand into a pile and tried to form it into something. "Do you think we should tell her, Jack?" She questioned, voice low and unheard by the little girl. Her hand was settled firmly on her stomach where the baby inside twirled around happily, unaware of the world of problems she was about to invite them into. "Eventually she'll have to know."
