Known as a non-human folk town-- secretly established 50 years ago-- housing several of the strangest and most dangerous creatures known to man, will Easthaven and its inhabitants ever live freely as themselves, or be exposed by the human infested city of Hullin that lives so close?

Julchen grew up on a farm with her grandparents in Germany. She was sickly as a toddler so her parents decided it's bet for her to stay with them there since it would be healthier for her. As she grew up, young Julchen discovered a natural affinity with animals, often times being left in charge in caring for them, eventually learning how to train them by herself. During her teen years, her parents took her with them to Hullin, deciding she needed better education than simple farm life. She wasn't very close to her grandparents despite living with them, what she missed most in her life there was the animals she's grown to love and cared for. Still, she was left with no choice but to leave them to stay in Hullin.
There, she tried to be as normal as ever. She lived life as any teenager would and finished her studies. It wasn't until she graduated out of highschool when things took a drastic turn. For her 18th birthday, she and her family went on a camping trip. The only thing that seemed to make her happy was nature, so that's what they decided to give as a gift. During the night, while she was out on the lake, taking a small dip, her parents were attacked. When Julchen returned, their tent was left to shreds, and her parents?

Julchen knew bears couldn't have done that. Skilled in defending herself, she ventured out in the woods, head too lost and heavy to think about what to do and what not to do. There, she saw a wolf. A wolf bigger than the ones she's seen in books and clips-- except for the ones in folk lore. He was big and had blood all over his furs. She knew then and there that he was the one who killed her parents. Angered and confused, she sought out to chase and face the huge wolf but was left standing behind the tree, frozen.
The wolf must have sensed her since he started going towards her direction. He only stopped when 3 men came running up the hill, apparently armed. They started chasing him, a if they knew what he was and what he did.
The night ended quickly. After that night, Julchen became more withdrawn ever. The 3 men she met explained to her how Hullin was a unsafe place and that they had 'neighbors' who were very dangerous yet the people chose not to believe him. She, however, did. A werewolf was what they called the creature that killed her parent. And since then, she kept her eyes open. She may not be able to slay a wolf, but she's going to do everything in her power to keep herself from suffering the same fate.

It was raining that day. Julchen had to lead the 2 dogs she was asked to train inside. She just washed them earlier, best not to make them muddy, she thought to herself as Allan and Reg follower her inside. There in her small workplace, she gave the two dogs food and water to keep them busy. Today, she was suppose to take them back to their owners after a nice stroll. The rain made sure that wasn't going to happen.
She sighed and sat down on her office chair, spinning slightly to the right to face a busy bulletin board. Pictures of all sorts of animals were there. Next week, she's going to discipline a very violent dog. The parents advised to 'let go' of the dog since he was too aggressive, but their child refused and insisted he can still change. Now it all falls to her hands whether or not she can turn the violent mut into a well behaved pet.
Her hands trailed to the scar on her face, remembering things from long ago. "Mmm... I can manage." A small smile graced her face but quickly switched to the default, flat line when she heard someone open the door. The sound of the rain from the outside was too strong, someone must've wanted to ask for temporarily shelter.

Occupation: Annaliese owns a small bakery in the town square, the aroma of whatever fresh bread or sweet cake she made that morning can often be smelled at all times of day.
Hobbies, etc: Her main interests include art, music, and, of course, cake. When at home, she can be found residing in her music room, playing either her grand piano, or her violin.
Short Background (Length is up to you, state where your character lives): Being bullied by other Sirens at such a young age, mostly for her fear of sea creatures, Annaliese knew her calling was for the inland, as far away from the sea (and other Sirens) as possible. Moving to Easthaven was indeed a blessing for the winged woman, a place where she could finally fit in. Little is known about her childhood and history. Sometimes, her melodious voice and the scent of baked goods tends to have people lured to her bakery, whether it is purposefully or not.
Headcanons (At least 3): Annaliese dresses very old-fashioned like. She holds a strong respect for the “Olden Times". Her dresses alone look to be at least a hundred years old. The Austrian is very, very camera shy. One reason she can’t stand tourists, cameras everywhere. Annaliese will often go off to deliver packages and such for her friends, as long as the distance isn’t too far. Her cheapskate mindset causes her to save every penny she possibly can, as well as make a few extras as well.
Sample Rp (At least 1 paragraph): Annaliese Edelstein walked along the cobblestone streets of Easthaven, the soft rays of sunshine peeking down the sidewalk as she finally made it to her bakery. Digging out the keys, and unlocking the door, her mind a million miles from here as she was still very sleepy. Entering her shop, and setting her purse on the table, she immediately wrapped her apron around her waist, tying it up in a neat bow. A yawn escaped between her rosy lips as the tiny bell aboce the door rang, signaling to her she had a customer. Her violet gaze met with the figure walking in. “I am terribly sorry, but ve have just nov opened, so ve have nozhing fresh at zhis time. If you vould not mind vaiting a couple minutes, I could vhip you up somezhing."

Anything else you’d like to add/say: Just that I am new to tumblr, so I still haven’t figured everything out. ^^; So my apologies if I do anything wrong by accident.
But one day, just short of her seventeenth birthday, she found something out that she had never known. A fatal stabbing gave way to her death, but what had happened surprised everyone. A fiery burst of flames consumed the poor girl, and within the next day or so a baby was found in the same spot the ashes had landed.
This has happened 4 times in her life, each starting with it's own different beginning. Unknown as to why, but she has pertained the knowledge previously known through the past lives, giving her an edge when she is a child.
Currently she lives in Easthaven, living her life as a Librarian.
Headcanons (At least 3):
- Has been a Historian, Artist and Writer in her past lives, but since all of those seemed to draining, she decided to go with the Librarian job.
- Still worships the Egyptian Gods, and wears the symbol of the Egyptian God Anubis on a gold necklace.
- Gets along fine with people, but isn't very talkative at all.

It'd been a rather boring day in the library, and seeing as she'd had nothing better to do, she thought of the most impossible thing to read, and sought out to find it. Of course, she hadn't expected it to be at the very top of the tall bookcase, leaving her with no choice but to climb. Perhaps today hadn't been the best day to wear those new high heels, and as she started the decent towards the top, she could feel the ladder becoming more and more wobblier.
But somehow, she had managed to snag the literature with a tight grip, leaving her with nothing to do but climb down. She took a look down to the ground, immediately regretting it. This height thing was going to be the death of her, but as far as she could tell, that was the only bad part about her job. "..." With a deep breath in, then out, she took her first step down. Then another, and another, until she had made it half way down. But as fate would have it, her foot slipped, and she landed rear first on the ground below, covered by more than just a few books. In fact, one had turned to twenty with her tug on the shelf.
With a grunt she sat herself up to look at the mess. Well, at least she had something to do now.

Eli is a stubborn young man, and he always wants his way. Even if he has to fight for it, he will have his way. Listening is one of his biggest strengths, even if it may not seem like he cares with that headstrong way about him, but he truly does. Eli remembers things and doesn't forget, which doesn't help with his temper. He loses his temper all too easily. If someone says something and he takes it the wrong way it could permanently ruin his relationship with said person. He does not forgive and forget. That's another reason why he has a hard time keeping friends and/or relationships.
He works very hard and does not like to disappoint others, especially if it's someone he loves. He strives to be at his very best, he always wants to be better than someone else. Eli enjoys power and the feeling of being in charge of things, no matter how little that thing may be. It's almost scary how power hungry he can be at times.
With that stubborn and short temper of his, he gets into fights easy. He doesn't exactly enjoy it, but he doesn't hate it either. If he loses in a fight he takes it very personally, and will mentally hurt himself about it.
If you can get under all of that stubborn and hotheadedness, Eli can be very sweet and caring. He'll do anything for a loved one, even if it costs his life. Family and friends are what he cherishes most.
Hobbies, etc:
{;Eli enjoys reading, pretty much any book he can get his hands on really. Historical books are his favorite, he loves reading about medieval times. Especially ones that explain his race, talking about their bravery into battle. He's very proud of it.
{; Collecting flowers and herbs is a favorite past time of his. Although it may not seem 'masculine enough' he enjoys it. Eli usually presses flowers into his favorite books, or creates flower crowns for himself and friends. (the hobby also calms him)
{; Similar to his collecting of flowers, he has his own special garden. He grows pretty much anything you could imagine. He's pretty awful at growing things, he forgets about taking care of them. Best not remind him though, he'll become very bitter about it.
Short Background (Length is up to you, state where your character lives):
Eli lives in Easthaven, he has for most of his life. He would love to explore the other cities, but it's impossible since he's a centaur. He cannot hide among humans as easily as the others can. He has a horse's body, he would be shunned or possibly even killed.
It's a dream of his to explore the other cities, it depresses him that he can't. He's proud of being a centaur, yet at the same time he despises it. Being a human would make things so, so, much easier.
Headcanons (At least 3):
{; Eli can sometime seem almost... Too old fashion I guess is how you could put it. It's most likely because of his infatuation on reading old stories about medieval times and wars. It's a well hidden secret of his, but he wants to be a 'brave warrior'.
{; He owns a bow and arrow. Although he doesn't eat meat, he still hunts for game and sells the meat in the city. (Part of his income.) He absolutely loves the thing and if anything were to happen to it he'd lose his mind.
{; Eli gets along with children better than adults. He finds that they accept him better and aren't so judgmental. Although he may seem a bit rude at first due to that temper, he still has a soft spot for them. Eli would love to be a father one day.

Stepping out of his small cottage Elijah closed his eyes, slowly breathing in the sweet smell of nature with a small smile on his lips. Living out in the country in Easthaven could almost make the town tolerable. It's not that the town was bad exactly, he just wished to live in Hullin. The city was growing so quickly, he'd love to explore it but it was impossible. He'd known all his life that a town like that would not be for him.
With a weary sigh he picked his bow and arrow off of it's hook. Day dreaming wouldn't make it happen, it would just throw him off his work. Quickly shaking the thoughts out of his head Elijah trotted down a small path that led deeper into the woods, swishing his tail as he went. Going for a hunt would enlighten his mood.
