Here’s a snake cake for my daughter’s 8th birthday.
Heres a Bamboo Chicken Coop. The project was shaped by our quarantine and everything was built with what I had on property. Was a challenge, and it may fall over in a few years, but it was fun. The Bamboo was old and structurally questionable. The roof is made of about 144 records we found on the road. Dont get angry, they were scratched and unplayable when we found them.
Nice Cypress cutting board. Crappy pictures
Progress on the conference table. Hickory heart wood is the heaviest and toughest domestic wood I’ve ever worked with. It’s brutal.
Planing some hickory at the BLUR workshop. It’s a 20” wide board on a 20” wide helical head planer.
This walnut tree was taken down in order to build the houses in th background. It’s hard to tell but there is some amazing figure in the grain. It was about 32” diameter and 9’ long. Milled with the ms880 Stihl Alaskan mill. Can’t wait to build something out of this one.
