back by popular demand, it’s the genderqueer phandom meetup!

how do we participate?

this is an opportunity for genderqueer and nonbinary members of the phandom to be seen and heard, and to show how the phandom is more than our image. (i don’t think i have to describe it to you.) you can post your selfies, art, writing, edits, anything to represent the members of the phandom who don’t conform to the gender binary! 

use the tag #genderqueerphandommeetup !!

the meetup will last for 24 hours, from noon on sunday, april 10, to noon the following day, in eastern standard time. find your timezone here.

who can participate?

this meetup is for trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderfluid, demigirl, demiboy, agender, etc., members of the phandom, so i ask that if you identify as cisgender that you not participate in this meetup, and be respectful during the meetup as to not try and upstage our overshadowed members of the phandom. feel free to reblog other people’s posts, but please do not post in the tag as an “ally”. if you are cisgender and you post in the tag, i will ask you to remove it. this isn’t about discluding certain genders, it’s about highlighting less visible genders.

Erased Identity Phandom Meetup 

What: Hosted by @t-r-a-s-h-talk and I, this is a meetup for anyone who identifies with an orientation that is often erased and disregarded, even bullied. This includes (but is not limited to!) bi, pan, poly, ace/aro, and demi, both romantic and sexual orientations!

Post selfies, art, anything you want! Meet others and interact with phandom members you may not know!

However, if you feel that your orientation should belong here, message either one of us! Once you talk to us, it’s most likely that you will be okay to participate! 

When: April 9th, at 1 PM EST (5 PM GMT), and lasts for 24 hours!

Can I still participate if I don’t identity with those orientations? We ask that you do not participate in the meetup, because we want to be able to give people who are often cast aside and oppressed (even in a community as supportive as this one), a chance to really be able to be themselves and feel accepted. However, feel free to like and reblog others posts, and support the meetup!

There are some wonderful people who are doing a Buy One Get One deal with bags containing items to help Trans and Non-binary people! They want to provide trans and gender-diverse youth with an easy means to get what they need– be it toiletries, clothing, or higher-end items like binders, binaried clothing, and bras.

A box will be entirely customized for the recipient including size, color, binary or non-binary, and much more.
