Sister Agnes has a cat, meow meow nyah~!
MOCHA We visted a cousin of mama last October 2016, and we saw that they had a lot of cats. They had so many kittens and Mama asked them if we could have one. (Here in the Philippines we can ask whenever for a cat since they donāt have specific breeds most of the time.) So we got two kittens, one for us and one for my Aunt. We got a girl this time because we want Yoda to have a girl companion in his life. Talk about arranged cat marriages. Haha! When we got home we gave the other one to Tita Myrna, and the other one remained with us. At first she was very shy, and since she was not used to our house, was kind of terrified by practically everything. Sheās scared of Yoda too. ( Way to go Yoda, youāre scaring your cat bride to be.) But as time goes by they also became friends. They were always together, and if before Yoda would always have the advantage with food, now Yoda and Mocha canāt share the food together anymore. For some reason Yoda is scared of Mocha while theyāre eating. Must be tough, cat marriages are. Thatās the only thing they donāt share but they do everything else together pretty much. Mocha loves climbing ceilings and chasing mice and lizards. She would always bring inside the house a part of her victim, like shās saying āHey i caught another one!ā. Sheās really funny. There was one time when Mocha cought a rat and brought it inside the house. Of course my Mama and i were a little bit terrified, but my mama took the dead rat and threw it outside. A little bit later Mocha came inside the house again with something in her mouth and I was like, āShocks she got another one!ā When i looked closer though, it wasnāt a rat, it was a Macopa fruit! She played with it inside the house. She would toss it up and catch it, she was so cute to watch. I donāt know where mice come from, but now, thanks to Mocha the guardian cat, our house is mice free.
Practicing my cat face. XD
YODA
We were goiing to have a date last April 2016 and we were going to the Presidential debate and we didn't go our usual way. Halfway, Hunny slowed down because the road was not that good, when suddenly we heard a load meow and we stopped. We searched for the source among the grasses and we saw this tiny, super skinny kitten, on the brink of giving up on living. It was a hot day, and hunny and i exchanged glances and asked ourselves if we should keep the kitten. In the end we decided to take him with us and later take him home. His fur was sticky but it's okay. We were happy to know that he's a boy.
As I've said it's better if it's a boy kitten that we get, so that they won't grow in numbers, my mama doesn't like that too much. One of my dreams is to have a foundation for cats, so that regardless of gender i can rescue and keep as many as we can. One day.
Anyway, I put him inside my bag and held him since we're riding a motorcycle so he won't fall off. When we arrived in Dagupan we were hungry, and we had a hungry kitten too, so we went to eat "Pigar Pigar", a Dagupan special beef dish. While we ordered our food I took out the kitten, and out him on my lap for the meantime, since he had been inside a plastic bag with his head poked out the whole travel. So while eating I fed him a little bit so he won't be noisy. The kitten was so hungry!
I can consider his birthday to be when we got him, sometime in April. It was near my former university and it was the Presidential debate so i will never forget about it.
He was quiet the whole travel home. When we arrived at the house, mama and papa where also amused and happy that we brought home a cat. Probably because he was a boy kitten. They told me that I really loved cats.
We had a hard time choosing a name for him, up until Hunny (Sam) said he looked like Yoda from the Star Wars movies, and we all agreed! Even after taking a bath and everything he looked like Yoda, so the name stuck.
As the days go by he grew stronger and bigger. He loved running around and being a cat. He's getting fatter too. He even assists us while we're doing laundry, and he loves climbing trees! Apwhenever we are outside in the yard he would be there-climbing trees. He's so cute!
He's fast with food too, and mama and papa often scolded him because he would be the first one to eat, on the table, and he liked to steal food from your plate. There was a point that he got a slap from papa and he never did it again. Seems like he's scared of papa. Now though, him and Mocha have their own place to eat.
We are amused by him, especially whenever i will travel back to Manila where I worked, while I'm readying my stuff he would always come inside the room, and start his sad meow meow, and play with the stuff I am working with. It's like he's saying "You're going away again," or "Let me come too." Same thing when Hunny comes home visit and when he will be getting ready to go, Yoda would always sneak in andk play with the bags.
Even if we say that it's just a cat, let us not say "just a cat,". Especially if we live together and we come to know the cat too. Even though they have their own share of mischievousness, they bring us happiness. Their reactions to us are funny, and for me personally, they relax and free me of stress whenever they are around.
Yoda has grown big, and he's heavier now, and his eyes are now green and grey. He's a handsome boy cat now, and he's so cute! I'm grateful for hunny and his support for my love for cats and rescue!
Yoda is still a happy cat, and he will turn a year this April 2017. Well cats will be cats. He loves sleeping in or on boxes, or at the sofa. We thought he would go outside often and will find somecat, especially he's a boy, and don't come back, but he stays, especially since Mocha is with him. Let Mocha and Yoda be married, haha! They are always together and they love sleeping together.
MISTY.
It's been almost a year since we've had a cat in our house ever since i came home from my mission. My mama was visiting a member from my Church one day when she noticed a brown and black spotted white kitten around a month and a half old. My mama asked if she could have it, and the member gave it to her. I can't remember what her name was before, but when she got home, we decided to call her Misty.
Like any other cat, Misty was really playful and mischievous, so we thought she'll be lost, especially since our house is not that big. But she stayed! And she was really cute, sniffing every nook and corner of the house. We were so happy, we haven't had a cat for so long.
Misty loved playing with our puppies at the time, and she even played with our cow! And oh! How she loved chasing field mice and field rats!
Like with us purrmans, i mean, humans, with the coming of age...wait what? Well let's just call it coming of age, came other cat suitors. It was a good thing Misty didnt go with any if them, but she got pregnant. Ah, cat life.
For three months we watched her tummy grow bigger and bigger, as our excitement also grew. I was especially excited. Preggy Misty equals lot's more of Misty kittens. Haha!wqq The big day came, and she gave birth to three very very cute kittens in the kitchen. As much as we love Misty and the kittens, (maybe we should start calling them Misty and Co.) the smell became unbearable, and we moved them to an empty pen right at the back of our house near the kitchen. But Misty would always carry the kittend back to the kitchen, one by one. Looking back, i can say Misty was a really sweet cat.
But the curtain of life soon falls on this lovely new cat family.
A week after we welcomed the trio kitten to this world, we said good-bye to Misty.
Mama put a leash on Misty and tied her inside the vacant pen, so that she wont bring back the kittens to the kitchen, and also to satrt teaching the mommy cat discipline, and so that she'll get used to a collar and leash.
But cats are free-spirited creatures, full of their own adventures, and Misty was not an exception.
She tried hard to escape during the night, but her leash got snagged, and she was left hanging, and she choked to death.
All this happened while i was asleep, and my mom only told me what happened, but i was just so sad. I held Misty's babies and i cried for them. Their mom was gone, and so was their precious d supply of milk. One by one, they followed their mother to the afterlife.
My mother was guilty, adn she was sad. On Nov. 1, she erected a candle in memory of Misty, and she kept saying sorry many times to the air. We were not completely over the passing, but it's funny that mama said, "Dont haunt me Misty huh, please."
We learned a lot from Misty's brief stay with us. It's a shame i never got to take a picture of Misty with her babies.
We miss you Misty, and trio kitties.
Actually I do love books too. šš¹
KOKO.
I found Koko lying on the side of the unversity canteen where I attended college. I just finished the last class that day and it was time to go home. I decided to put this poor kitty inside my bag, and it was a good thing he was quiet and meek during the whole travel. Good thing he was a boy cat, if ever he was a girl cat my mom would have scolded me again and she's going to say a lot of things, most of them unpleasant to cat ears. He was so skinny, and it was clear he wa really hungry.
The moment we got home, and he realized that travel was over, he started purring and just saying "meow, meow, meow, meow" just like any hungry skinny kitten would do. So i gave him some food and water but he didn't even touch them. He just kept meowing like there was no hope in this world. I realized that wait, this was still a kitten! Most probably he wants milk! It was already evening and there was no bottle for milk, so i just cupped my hand and poured some milk on it. I dunno where i got the idea but it worked! I guess Koko was thinking that my cupped hand is somehow similar to that of his mother's breast/flesh.
The next day my mom told me i can use the old milk baby bottle , but i told her that the nipple was too big for Koko. Well, we still tried and fortunately it worked! Koko loved it and i can tell he misses his mommy cat's milk. Poor Koko for having such an irresponsible mommy cat. Anyway, Koko grew fast and in time, he would play outside among the dried leaves. He's so good, especially with a particular skill he has, when you tell him "Koko, picture," he would stop what he's doing and poses for a picture. Amazing right? Sometimes i wonder if maybe he was born to be a cat model...uhm maybe not, haha!
He grew bigger and healthier as time went by. My mission call came (I am a member of the LDS Church) , so i started talking to Koko a lot more often, telling him i'll be gone for 18 months, and we'll be able to play and see each other again after that time. He would look at me and listen, and somehow i just know he understood.
This became our daily routine, till one month before i leave for my mission, Koko suddenly disappeared. I dont know where he is, and i looked everywhere for him. I asked the neighbors if they saw Koko but no one did. I cried a lot, almost every night, i was always thinking if he already ate, if he's okay, maybe he's cold and i wasn't there, maybe ihe's trying to get back but somehow lost his way.
I left for my mission and even when i was in the field, i would always email home and ask if Koko came back. The answer would always be the same, no.
Now i'm home and i still dont know what happened to Koko. I miss him so much. I love him, but i know we'll meet again, whether here in this life or the next.
I hope you'll love your own Koko's. They deserve it, and they will love you back too, and they will bring you happiness you deserve. :)
MUNINGNING.
GARFIELD.
This tubby cat.
Garfield literally looks like Garfield, the cartoon cat, so that what we named him. Someone gave him to my mom, and she gave him to me. All i can remember is I took care of Garfield for only 4 months, because my Aunt asked if she could have him. I gave Garfield to her and i know that he is in good hands. I can visit himm anytime, since my Aunt lives only a few blocks down the road away. He's a handsome cat, especially with his cool collar!
PUS.
BRUTOS and TUBBY
Okay, so these two are my very first cats since I found out that I love cats. And I think that was in my 8th grade. I canāt think of any stories about them since writing or making any blogs is not part of my want-to-do list in my life. Am not really sure if I wrote it my journals, one thing Iām so sure that I love them so much!
All I can remember is that I always play with them and they sleep with me. I came up with the names Brutos, from a movie THE WITCH CRAFT and Tubby, since basically heās chubby ever since he was a little. They both died because of their age. Theyāre too old. Iāll miss them.
Here I go, leaving the world of cyberspace for 18mos.
( awkward waving post )
I want you all to know that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) and I am going to serve on a mission for my church for 18 months in Cebu. I will be teaching the gospel of Christ to others, and helping all kinds of people about the love of God, serving others wherever needed (regardless of religionI) I have sooooo much peace. After all this inner turmoil over the last few months, it has really been nice to just relax and know that I am doing the Lordās will. J
This means that I wonāt able to update my Tumblr, Facebook, but donāt worry. I didnāt die and I will be back. Promise. Hahaha!
Stay fresh, my good people and God Bless each of you.

Finallyyyyyyyy....
Today many sisters are being called to serve. Many more are preparing to serve. Not because they aren't married or don't have anything else to do, but they have the desire to serve the Lord. My parents support me, I am willing, worthy and have the faith that He will guide me, protect me and strengthen me. One reason that the Lord wants more sisters to serve is because within the next generation He will send His priesthood army to the earth. As we serve we do not represent our families, our friends, our branches, our wards, our communities or nations. Rather we represent Him(Jesus Christ). His purposes should be our purposes... His will should become our will- Elder Bednar.
This qoute makes me think a lot about about WHY I want to serve a mission. There's a lot of reason actually, but there's one reason stays central in my decision. I want to give back to my Savior. "He wants to send choice spirit children to mothers who have been prepared, properly tarined and taught in the gospel. What a better schooling can a mother have than the experience and growth she gains through serving a mission- President Gordon B. Hinckley.
Heavenly Father has given me all that I have to give Him a mere eighteen months of my life but it's a small offering. I am choosing to serve to show gratitude to the Lord for not giving up on me or my family, for not resting until we had the church in our lives. I know this gospel is true, I have never known anything to be more true. I have a firm testimony of the healing power of the Atonement. I feel my Savior's love for me more and more each day as I prepare myself to serve. I know that Christ died for me and that through obedience to His commandments, I can return to live with Heavenly Father one day.Ā
