- cody, the foremost kat/clarence shipper on the team bc he’s pretty sure he’s seen the boy smile more since he started dating kat than he’s seen in any other circumstance. fully expect him to be the one giving clarence advice on things that he’s clueless about and taking kat out for coffee dates so she can spill the tea
- dasra who has decided that he’s going to live up to the bitchy gay reputation and be a lil bastard man who absolutely throws shade at the fact that kat’s around the team so much and yet she doesn’t actually do anything for them beyond dating clarence. it’s all about the petty enemies vibes
- bobby who i can almost guarantee needs to be tutored by kat bc he is, in fact, incompetent academically but hasn’t got a single mean bone in his body and has therefore latched onto the team mom w all his might. full of hugs for kat’s supportive self tbh
- luis chasing kat down on a regular basis bc he’s missing one of clarence’s jerseys and knows exactly who has it bc he saw her in it not too long ago? teasing besties??? maybe not talking all the time but being hella close regardless

- cody and alexi but consider: cody babysitting (and he uses that term loosely bc eva is a responsible princess) for alexi bc he needs the cash and oop, is this some sort of cliche ‘dilf falling for the babysitter’ thing? kinda, just a bit
- antoine and berrie is apparently a thing that the randomizer says would be cute, and honestly? can’t disagree. berrie getting emotional vulnerability and a willingness to communicate from a partner?? antoine getting some support w his chaotic ass life? soft couple goals in too-big sweaters? yes ma’am

One wouldn’t need to be terribly observant to take note of the fact that Clarence had stuck to the fringes of this little get-together-that-totally-wasn’t-a-party since it had started. He’d done the requisite mingling, of course, but when it came down to it, he much preferred a calmer spot off to the side of the festivities. That wasn’t to say that he wasn’t enjoying himself, mind, it was just a different kind of enjoyment than the people who were busting moves in the middle of the crowd.
Brows raise as Kat approaches, smile natural on his lips despite his surprise at her little invitation. “Dance? With me?” he points an index finger at himself, “I’ve got two left feet, babe, I’m not sure dancing is the best word for anything you would be doing with me. Stumbling, maybe.”

Her own daughter hadn’t approved from minute one, had made comments about Mimi finding someone her own age and that thought still lingered at the back of her mind no matter how hard she tried to forget it. But with every out she offered there was a firm rebuttal. If her attention and affections weren’t wanted then she had a strong feeling that she would have heard about it by now. That’s why she didn’t let those doubts weigh her down as she looked up at the younger man with such reverence. It didn’t matter so long as he didn’t hightail it out of there at a moment’s notice.
“You can be selfish for me, I’ll allow it,” for Antoine she was willing to let an awful lot slide but she wasn’t going to reveal that just yet. There had to be some kind of ace up the sleeve. I think everyone’s seen how good we are at misbehaving in each other’s company, so I guess this is a chance to be a little more casual and even-keeled.”
It wouldn’t have been even remotely embarrassing to be seen being chastely intimate together at Arcadia, but Antoine was of the firm opinion that Mimi deserved to indulge away from prying eyes. He’d only gotten snippets about Bea’s distaste for her mother’s relationship, but it wasn’t terribly hard to imagine that it put something of a strain on his lover’s day-to-day operation. “I can’t promise that there won’t be a few lapses in good behaviour, but I’m more than eager to make the most of our time together.”

Youth was on her side for sure, that was glaringly obvious to anyone that was sober enough to hold a conversation with her. But that didn’t mean she had made many good decisions in her ‘adult’ years. She was well intentioned every time, but her intense craving to replace what had been lost in her childhood often left her with drunk voicemails and mysteriously reappearing exes. Thankfully since the frequent visits from North River, Harper’s shifts hadn’t been interrupted by too many untoward people. If anyone asked, she wasn’t airing any suspicions.
“Would be absolutely fantastic if I could make some good choices though, sick of getting bitten in the ass,” it wasn’t like Erik could advise her either way, but they’d gravitated toward one another for some reason or another and she was still trying to work out why. What better than to confide in him while he wanted to listen? Her hand rested on the table of the booth and leaned in a little closer, “Not very good at hiding if I find you every time, huh?”
“Might be waiting a while for those good choices. Almost 40 and I can probably count the good choices I’ve made on one hand,” if it seemed like he was spiteful of himself, it’s because he was. The fact that he’d immediately brought the bottle of beer to his lips once more didn’t exactly help any plausible deniability.
But then Harper’s drawn just that little bit closer and Erik’s brain helpfully chimes in with a teasing ‘nothing to stop you from making yet another bad decision now, then, huh?’ Expression barely fluctuates, though, and he steels himself against his own wandering mind before delivering a half-hearted shrug, “It’d be a pretty shitty night out if the one who serves me drinks couldn’t find me, no?” and just then there’s the barest hint of a smirk, “And, to be fair, I don’t actually mind you finding me. Less of a fan of the Falcons sniffing me out and having a field day with the fact that I drink.” And that he was quite clearly taken with the bartender, but he might’ve been subtle enough about it that it wouldn’t immediately become a hot gossip topic among the team.
