I work on a bunch of projects simultaneously, so work is going slowly but steady! There are lots of stories I want to tell, and I’m most happy to see people being interested. I use Clip Studio Paint for most of my drawings these years; and pencils, liners, some brush pens and watercolors for drawings on paper.

when i mentioned that there's autistic people who don't automatically have a large repository of knowledge for any one specific interest, i deliberately avoided using the term special interest. this is because I think that term, as used online, only covers a very limited range of what autistic interests and restricted repetitive behaviour can look like. it's fine to have one, but all the notes on that post talking about special interest this and that make me think people don't know that some autistic people don't have a special interest. they don't need to have one either. it's not even part of the diagnostic criteria, which, in the ICD 11 is "persistent restricted, repetitive and inflexible patterns of behaviour, interests, or activities that are clearly atypical or excessive for the person’s age and sociocultural context." so like you can watch the same 30 second video for 3 hours straight every day and that's part of your autism. but people online wouldn't classify it as a "special interest". because it is isn't, and that's okay. a lot of us don't have special interests. we don't relate to that term at all. there's nothing to talk about or learn about because the behaviour or activities that we do aren't related to a discrete topic or media franchise.

You know what? Forget the discourse. This is no longer my hill to die on.

You wanna ship canonically aspec characters because “aro/ace people can still date/have sex”? Okay, then. LET’S DO IT.  I wanna see an aromantic character with an alloromantic love interest. I wanna see that confession of undying love and the moment when the aro character says they will never feel the same way—not romantically.

I wanna see the asexual character with their allosexual partner. I wanna see that moment when the ace characters tries sex with their partner for the first time because they want to make them happy only to realize that they are 100% sex repulsed.

I wanna see the two demiromantics who don’t even know if what they feel is romantic attraction, but they adore each other and just want to make healthy snacks together and destroy each other at Mario Kart.

I wanna see the two aces who love sensual affection and are figuring out what they define as sexual or not.

I wanna see the romance + sex neutral aroace who happily and consensually does whatever makes their partner happy…but their partner still struggles with feeling undesired. 

Oh, babe. You thought shipping an aspec character would be just like shipping an allo character?
