Cardboard
There's a buzz about VR, virtual reality. First, it started with a Converse commercial shooting with nearly 10 Go Pros to create a real life experience, coming soon! And then there was a friend whose short had a scene that incorporated VR. I had gotten cardboard for Christmas but hadn't gotten wind of all of this. So when I saw the cardboard sitting on my friends coffee table, curiosity got the best of me. The first download was Kaiju Fury And then Cardboard App from Google and I was so enthralled. I don't want to hype it up too much because it's still in beta stages. I mean come on, its freakin cardboard right now! But the possibilities and innovations to come are so cool to think about. Get it! Play! and Spread the word!
Sometime in the crazy month of January I worked on a Disney Junior DJ Shuffle Promo. Camera department kept asking for tablets and I didn't understand why camera would need them. On the shoot day I noticed that each camera team had their own tablet hooked up to their respective Canon DSLR. Oh yea, that's right, you can now use a tablet or smartphone to control your camera! My favorite part is that it acts as a field monitor!!! Score! So far I've only seen it work on Canon cameras. I have a Sony Nex-6 and PlayMemories Mobile allows you to control the camera as well. But it acts more as a remote and less like a second monitor. I'm sure Sony will come out with something soon enough. Until then get your DSLR Controller now.
Stuff gets in the way sometimes and then you just get stuck in this perpetual rut of nonsense. This is helping me get out of it. Can't wait to hear them this weekend!!!!
My First Gaffing JOB!!! So excited to see it online! Come have a look see.
Very proud to finally see this video. It was my one and only commercial I worked on as Line Producer. Happened to be very close to my birthday. Best present ever! Hopefully there will be more to come where I'm EP&DP! Josiah and Jurnee are by far the most romantic couple, talk about about feeling the love. Made my friend a business card design on my day off. She only had 10 cards left so once we were set on a theme and some colors she liked I went on my merry way and ordered her a free sample set from MOO. Hopefully she'll like them.
ESPN | THE BODY ISSUE
Was unaware that ESPN had a special edition called The Body Issue. Had a look see when I was at the USC Bookstore and some of the images were stunning. I want to go back and buy it.
