something you learn the *hard way* when you work in something like graphic design is when you want inspiration, you search for "clip art" and NOT for a "graphic". I used to work in healthcare-related design. I saw more "surgery graphic" on google images than I EVER wanted to
Be yourself so ppl looking for u can find u
when I was a teenager I thought the reason I struggled to understand what people were saying when they spoke was because I'd listened to too much vocaloid and jpop, which is obviously in japanese, and so I had maybe just got used to not being able to comprehend what I was listening to
In reality, my auditory processing just isn't great
both of the excessive vocaloid listening and the auditory processing problems are *probably* related to my autism. lmao
Best piece of advice I could give anyone is to stay away from anything that makes you feel small. People, places, situations… And continually check yourself about it too. Like regularly ask yourself if you feel like you’re closing in on yourself or opening up and able to bloom

“I never remember to take out the trash until my trash can is full, at which point the trash bag is really heavy and the stuff at the bottom has been rotting a while, and it’s awful!”
Small brain: “Try to train yourself to take out the trash on certain days at certain times.”
Large brain: “Buy a tiny trash can. Now you HAVE to empty it.”
That’s genius!
I just put it in front of my door when it’s full so I am physically unable to leave unless I pick it up.
The best advice I’ve ever received about managing my depression/anxiety/adhd is that disability exists in the context of the environment. Accommodations are not about changing yourself to work in your environment — it’s about changing your environment to better work for you.
So yeah, get a tiny trash can and put it by your door. Store your towels in your bathroom so you can immediately change them when they smell funny. Hang a basket by your door for your gloves and earbuds. Leave a box of cliff bars by your door so you never leave without breakfast. Change your environment and change your life!
“Change your environment and change your life”
algebra is honestly funzies when you know what youre doing it’s like a puzzle that you feel smart for solving. however when you don’t know what you’re doing it becomes a challenge called who can turn into a feral dog and bite things fastest and brother i always win
