Fan was right. New fan, anyway. Any man with a size like that was surely going to gain her admiration.  However, Jay had no idea what sort of work this man did that would result in him having fans. Unless he was some kind of star? Jay turned to look behind herself, trying to witness this ‘’one person’’ for herself, but turned right after to face him again.

Beowulf usually didn’t get many requests to sign clothes unless they were t-shirts or, sometimes, underwear. Fans would be fans, but he wouldn’t stop them. He loved the love, loved the attention. It made him feel like a crowd hero again.

          “ I’ll allow for that one to slide. Now, onto              more pressing matters: I’m interested in              your trophy from Grendel. His arm. ”

One in particular,                                                               was the rise in activity for those once dead.                                                               Resurrection? No, more like reanimation, so                                                               he’d reasoned. But, what of limbs? That’s                                                               what he now wanted to know. And who was                                                               better to turn to than Beowulf?

  ◯  “Riiiight-- his arm? It’s exactly what it seems to be: his arm. Though, it doesn’t quite feel like a ‘trophy’ anymore. You work hard to get a trophy. You earn a trophy... after I found out what had happened behind the scenes, well...” the man sighed, looking off to the side.

  ◯  “-I’ll just say part of me really feels I don’t deserve it. I probably don’t, but I knew Grendel, and I know that even in death he would want to keep fighting. So, I guess this is just me trying to honor his wishes, or something like that. Hope most of the big guy is resting in peace though, he’s earned a warrior’s rest...”

Beowulf glanced back to the cyborg-man-thing, a rare instance of seriousness washing over him.

  ◯  “That’s all I’m gonna say about that issue. What about his arm is so concerning to you?”
