Swearing In Ceremony at #Brownies tonight. Evie and the other handful of returning members helped welcome a whole new batch of girls. The more Brownies the merrier. During these dark days and strange times it warms the heart to hear these girls recite the Brownie law and to see the pride in their faces when they got their pins/badges. May tonight be the first of many accomplishments for them all.

Evie has not yet embraced the scary and the ghoulish of #halloween. She did not like my costume especially when I appeared in her doorway telling her to get out of bed 🎃😂

It really felt like #halloween today; dark, wet, leaves everywhere, ground all squishy. I suggested the #ghostrain but was told that was #tooscary so we went to #glowinthedark instead. When we finally got home ( #cambiestcongestion) we watched #itsthegreatpumpkincharliebrown What kind of person hands out rocks at Halloween?! #poorcharliebrown

Happy Birthday Sam! I can't get over the changes you are going through. The maturity creeping into your face, the gradual steps towards independence, the growing willingness to open up to new things. Luckily the change is tempered by the familiar - cuddles in the early morning, occasionally reaching for my hand, curling up beside me on the couch. You bring us love, joy and pride ❤️
