I’m feeling the strange desire to pull away from everyone I know. It’s odd because I know they care about me, and it makes me feel bad to distance myself when they haven’t done anything to cause my distance. I know it’s not fair to them, and I know it’s selfish. But right now I just want to be left alone, live my life in peace. How can affection be so suffocating? Do I need to step back and view my life from the lens of a stranger and realize how fortunate I am to have what I have? I don’t really know. I choose tumblr purely for the anonymity aspect of it. Yes you might know my name, but that’s about it. It’s one of the few platforms that I haven’t invited any of my friends to view what I post. A virtual diary I share with strangers who don’t put the post to a face. Which is exactly what I need.
