homuranos:
At his stature, he grew used to others staring at him long ago. Bright green eyes would meet the other’s as he’d flick an ear, shifting his weight from one foot to another before offering the other a smile. She wasn’t afraid to meet eye contact, something Homura respected.
“Rabbit? No, not a Rabbit. I am a. Homunculus. Not many know. This in this city. Feels strange. But exciting.”
With a soft chuckle, he’d hold out a diminutive hand, offering a small wrapped candy he retrieved from an equally small pocket.
“Eat sweet. Shows friendship. I am. Homura, a Treasure Hunter. Nice. To meet you. Yes?”
she was confused, both by actually getting a response, the other’s speech pattern, and what exactly he had called himself. tilting her head to the side, she took a moment to think if she had ever heard the word before; to no avail. however, as he mentioned friendship, her head straightened, and a warm smile formed.
“ my name is sophie. it’s nice to meet you too, homura! ”
reaching out, sophie took the candy and unwrapped it, eager to eat it if it meant making a new friend.
“ i’m not sure what a... hu... humon--, ” sounding out the word was harder than she thought, she realized, stuttering out the syllables. “ ...homunculus? is, but... if it’s anything like a humanoid, then we’re similar !! ”
