if you’re gonna be miserable and sad at least do it while you’re looking at some beautiful trees and the sun is warming your back etc etc #enjoyyoursummer
if it’s your birthday: happy birthday
if it’s not your birthday: reflect on why that is. 👆🏽
from blood and ash. FROM. BLOOD. AND. ASH. why isn't this series talked about enough??? I'm on book two and it's easily one of my favorite series already... I've heard people don't enjoy it because of the slow pace, but honestly? that's one of the best parts. we are seeing everything through poppy's eyes and it feels as though we are there with her. In reality, experiencing and processing events takes time, especially when the main character's whole life is being turned upside down. I love how every conversation between character's is slow and thoughtful, instead of just saying two sentences and moving on with the scene. specifically the first scene with poppy and hawke, it was soooooo slow and soooo gorgeous... I don't know how else to put it. everything in these books just feels so... natural. I am absolutely obsessed.
The problem with male love interests nowadays is that they’re not characters. They’re just good-looking lamps that exist to shine a light on the designated reader-insert heroine. Like…romantasy authors love giving their male characters these lofty responsibilities (e.g. princes, kings, dukes, resistance leaders,) but don’t give a damn about what those roles mean for the characters. Their status doesn’t say anything about them, it only exists to give the heroine status by extension. He has power, so she has power. But that’s all there is to it. This makes these love interests extremely dull and reduces them to one-dimensional cheerleaders for their heroines.
Still human, wasn't she? Human, in a role that wanted a machine.

What do you mean “chat” is now referring to ChatGPT and not twitch chat? What? What? What the fuck? No?
When I address chat I am speaking to a presumed Greek chorus of real human people shitposting on their lunch break, not a machine that devours lakes to covert electricity into slop.
Whats wrong, you barely touched your pellets
