Walking through the crowded halls hearing laughter from one end to gossiping in the other.
"Did you see that cute guy?"
"And then, I told them they wouldn't fit but he needed not only fitting but getting stuck!"
A few guys laughed at the story.
He overheard as he passed by soon
he stops looking left and right.
{ Did... I take the wrong turn or something? }
He looked down at his paper again.
{ B107...} He looks around again.
"I am such a fucking dumbass..."
He turned around bumping into a guy's shoulder.
"Watch it." He snapped at the guy meeting his blue eyes for a millisecond before walking off.
{ Another reason I would've rather rot inside my room then be in school right now, I hate people man...}
Finally he finds his class and sits down at the back with a small groan.
{ Maybe I can sleep for a few minutes before class starts..}
He laid his head down letting himself drift off.
The bell rung for the start of class dragging him out his slumber.
He raised his head leaning back in his chair, rubbing his face.
"Everyone settle down, I'll be name calling."
The teacher cleared his throat adjusting his glasses before name calling A-Z
He stared down at his pencil fidgeting.
{ I wanna go home....} He whined to himself, his leg bounced under the desk.
{ I could always skip....} He thought about feeling tempted but shook his schedule lightly.
{ Aunt would probably murder me if I did that....}
He looked up and raised his hand. "Here."
Some people glanced back before paying attention to the board. The teacher kept calling on students while he blanked out again.
"Lia, seriously? Your still into those guys?"
He overheard the two. { Whats with everyone always trying to be friends with a popular guy? Do they think they're inna cheesy rom-com? }
He was oblivious to who the guy was they were talking about.
The class blended in with eachother feeling like it would never end.
He got up hoping to make it to the locker room earlier then the other guys, on his way out he accidentally shoved into another guy.
Looking back everyone glared, he opened his mouth but just turned and kept walking.
"What is seriously with me and bumping into guys this whole day?" He muttered walking into the locker room, he noticed another guy in the corner of his eye.
He looked around before taking his shirt off, seeing the faded scars on his arms
He snapped out of it, hearing people come towards the door.
He tossed on a long black sleeve shirt and topped it with the uniform gym strip
{ One more class.. } He took a breath before shutting his locker and entered the gymnasium.
Looking around the clean wooden floor board with a big lynx in the middle of the flooring.
Walking over to the bleachers he sat down at the top—so he didn't have to socialize.
The bleacher below his seat started to fill up with other guys murmuring or laughing, he had kinda zoned out watching the locker room door open and close.
"Alright class, let's get started, I'll be calling your last name's." The teacher called after a few minutes. The class settled down to a few murmurs.
The lockerdoor opened as if on cue.
"Here!" He called from the doors that were swinging behind him. "I went down the wrong hallway."
He admitted with a guilty grin.
"Yeah, alright I'll let you off since it's the first day, don't make it a habit though."
"Thank you, sir." He looked up.
He caught his eyes, they seemed familiar.
Allen sat down beside the others, Navy watched him, contemplating for a few seconds before looking back at the door.
He raised his hand. "Here."
He responded sounding bored.
He wasn't ashamed of being bored.
"Alright gentlemen, We'll start easy today so I'll split you up into two teams and we'll play some handball. Sound good?"
The guys cheered in agreed excitement.
Roughly an hour has passed before the bell rung for the end of the day.
He sighed, walking intonthe locker room while the class was busy catching their breath and getting hydrated.
{ I wish I wasn't here... being homeschooling was so much easier.. }
He contemplated while tossing his bag over his shoulder and going into the bathroom to change.
Not long after he came out of the bathroom fixing up his tie.
{ I can finally go hooome...}
He felt relieved that he could go home and hide from the world.
Walking outside the school he plugged in his earphones and headed towards the train station.
The view was nice for the most part, everything still felt new to him even after a year of moving back home.
He walked in front of a convenience store on the way.
"..." He shook his head turning away and walking again.
Just to ultimately walk in and buy cat food and chicken slices.
{ If I get there in an hour I'll make the second train, I suppose..}
He walks a different direction and into a short alleyway looking around before jumping and pulling himself over a locked wooden fence gate.
He caught himself before he could stumble.
"Pspspsp," He whispered staying low to the ground while pouring the wet cat food in a few empty bowls.
Meowing soon filled the quiet atmosphere as cats and kittens came out from hiding from the dark.
One would crawl to his lap as he watched the cats eat.
lt gently stroke their head, the cat looked up at him having only one eye.
"You a pirate cat or somethin'?" He murmurs listening to the cat purr.
The cat just curled into him with their tail waving lazily.
He stayed there for a while.
Watching the peaceful cats going around him or acknowledging him, it was his version of being alone.
Walking off the train he headed home, going though an empty alley, crossing a road and past a bakery his aunt owned.
He stopped a few inches away from it.
{ She's probably busy... She's had to deal with me enough this past year...}
He grasped his forearm rubbing it guiltily.
"Navy!" his aunt yelled from behind him spooking him from the guilt creeping up his spine.
He turned around and waved. "Aunt Jamie, I was just getting home."
She approached him kissing his forehead.
"I told you to call me aunt Jam, just cause you're in highschool now doesn't mean you're to cool for me."
She smiled and hugged him tightly, she released him a second later.
"Now tell me everything that happened at school, did you meet some people, any teachers you like?"
She leaned against the building.
Navy looked away rubbing the back of his neck. "It was... alright, no I didn't meet anyone and the teachers were okay, nothing exciting happened..."
Her soft smile lowered a bit as she nodded. "Yeah... That's fair, it must be weird being home everyday to having to be in a uniform, right?"
He nodded looking down with a bit of guilt.
"I...gotta get home, the tornadoes are probably is expecting me."
"Ah, those little weasels, well before you go lemme get you a muffin and then I should be home in a few hours, I'll text you if we're ordering."
She moves to the bakery's door.
"Sound good?" She looked over her shoulder.
