mukojochuā.
Ā No response. Not at first.
Ā Instead, in its place he would remain firm; heād stand by what he had previously said of not robbing the child of what points had been accumulated. There was little point, the balloons proved no threat to him, unarmed as he was and popped with ease. The score he had come to sit upon was a comfortable amount that grew with each chance that provided itself; with each balloon that left itself open.
Ā Ā āHm.ā
Ā Low was the sound he provided, allowing the sound to carry on thoughtfully was the child spoke. Muramasaās gaze carried doubt at what response he was provided, but he let his eyes stray away to their nearby surroundings.
Ā Ā Ā āIt would have been in the way had I not.ā
Ā Ā āBesides, the loss of a mere hundred wonāt do me any harm.ā
Ā Still, eyes remained trained on the world around, watching in the distance as different balloons of similar nature fluttered through the streets. Catching glimpses of other civilians either chasing or being chased ā by balloon or person alike. Much like, what he assumed, was thought of him upon his arrival.Ā
Had he been better equipped, perhaps he would be one of the few that chose to hunt others the moment they came into view. However, such a task would require knowing if said target was of substantial value⦠and if the world could do without them.
Ā The innocence of a child such as this would not be stripped by his hands. Already has he been made to sit back and watch that happen, and those footsteps would not be followed.Ā
Ā Ā Ā ā ā very well. If you truly believe yourself to be fine as you are, I wonāt argue. My assistance was merely temporary.ā
ā... oh, it... wonāt, huh...ā
āGolly...ā
Right... of course this was easier for some people to do than it was for him. If the balloons hadnāt had some semblance of -- he didnāt know, not humanity, but -- but their own sort of SOUL, maybe, even if not in the way he was used to -- then it would have been no issue. If they had just been normal balloons... without faces... or personalities...
(Once upon a time he might have even cried over normalĀ balloons popping. He probably had.)
ā--w...wait!ā
He hadnāt had such volume to his voice in a long while. Despite everything, speaking up for himself still wasnāt an easy task. Maybe -- thinking it over -- maybe it was harder now than it ever had been, given he was trying so hard to make sure he didnāt... make any... mistakes. That was a good word to use for it.
Mistakes.
āI, uh--can I at least have your name?ā Asriel didnāt know how to explain it. Maybe it was the part of him that wanted to see the good in everyone, like Frisk had been able to. Maybe it was because some part of this big fluffy stranger just radiated sadness to him. But he didnāt feel like he could just let him silently leave, not without at least knowing who he was. Just... just in case.Ā āMineās Asriel.ā
