“you know, terra is so weird. i don’t understand it half the time,” yujeong said. “they assign us colours or whatever, but then barely do anything with it? i guess maybe that’s a good thing, but i would have thought they’d dye my hair purple by this point…. i kind of want to see dajeong with yellow hair… that’d be kind of funny…”

“That’s a really cool concept when you think about it. But by yellow do you mean blonde or like... highlight color yellow? Because i can only think of highlight color yellow and that’s so funny to me.”

“i think i’m ready to start working on solo work,” sookie admitted, scrubbing her face in her hands. she’d had a solo debut in rejectz’s early days, but nothing for about three years since. “i’ve put so much of my focus into my group, and i think i’ve gotten us to a really good place. is it selfish of me to want to start working on something for myself now?”

“Why would it be selfish?” Joohye challenges, chewing on of the dumplings she had ordered as an appetizer. “If one of your members thought this way, what would you say to them?” Her voice is warm; her main goal to encourage the other into taking the steps that  she wanted to take. “I think wanting to make a comeback isn’t selfish. It really only aids to Rejectz popularity.”

“… Yeah, no. I’m not putting that in my mouth,” Taeri said bluntly, nose wrinkling in disgust at the spoon presented to her. “It looks like something you would shine your shoes with. If you don’t want to eat it yourself, just don’t. Don’t pawn it off on me.”

Joohye blinks for a moment, the other’s tone catching her a bit off guard, “n-no it’s not that I don’t want to eat it s’just...”  Her sentence trails off, “I was just scared i’d not like it and get sick... sorry..” words trail into a mumble before she shoves the food in her mouth silently; maybe she should’ve just sat and ate her food quietly, instead of possibly irritating the other.

“I was just thinking earlier–could you imagine what it’d be like if bands had as many members as like, groups like Traxx did when they first debuted?” Noeul thought aloud. “It’d be kind of wild, right?”

“That’d be really hard to manage but like, it’d be cool right? you can have like instrumental harmonies and stuff... But like surely someone’s bound to--- Wait, we do have those don’t we? Orchestras and like... big bands?? But like a Rock band with that concept would be wild.”

tae took the spoon, shoving it in his mouth and swallowing before he could even really get to tasting it, all the while keeping a straight face. he already knew he hated it, but he also thought it would be funny to see her try it. “really not that bad,” he told her with a shrug. “just kinda tastes like seaweed. but worse. but still not bad.”

Joohye smiled, excited to the see that the food she had been craving wasn’t that bad. She knew those youtubers were exaggerating when they said it was gross. Eagerly, she grabs one of the the bite sized samples for herself, blinking excitedly at her friend before it all suddenly vanishes off of her face. Her fast chewing suddenly comes to a slow series of crunches; the color in her face to shift to one light green and as she finally swallows she gives her friend a pained look. “That wasn’t very good at all...”  There’s a slow shake of her head, pouting at her friend, “You said it wasn’t that bad.”

“not to be mean, but that kind of looks like rotting dog food,” hyo answered, nose scrunching up a touch. “i know all i eat is mcdonalds so my stomach is already gross, but even with that, i don’t want to put that in my mouth.”

“Okay,” She sighs gently pouting just a little bit, “Mcdonalds can’t be that bad... maybe i’ll eat that instead?” Joohye muses, pulling the straps of her purse a bit tighter, “I want to eat something new but i can’t think of anything.”

“anything that looks like that, i absolutely do not trust in my mouth,” hayi answered, shaking her head. “i’ve been on too many variety shows that seem to want to take a page out of fear factor’s book.”

A gentle pout pushes it’s way onto her lips as she admits defeat, trying the food for herself. A mix of salt, tangy orange and... vinegar combines  and dances on her taste buds in a way that doesn’t sit well with her stomach; Yeah, she should’ve never tried that. Joohye tries to hide the disgust on her face before turning her and the other around and walking away, “It’s a good thing you didn’t try it... it was gross..”

“no,” minji replied stubbornly. “i’m not putting something that looks that nasty in my body. i refuse. it looks like something that comes out of an animal.”

“Pretty please?” The other begged, wrapping her arm around her, “I’ll buy you lunch and dinner... What if you like it?”

“i’ve tried it, joohye. i already know i hate it,” suri answered with a dramatic sigh. “you’re nice and all, but i’m not throwing my entire lunch up because you’re too scared to try it yourself.”

“You’ve tried it before?” She asks surprised, “Well... What does it taste like? is it sweet? Salt? The texture?” Joohye sighs, putting an arm around the other, “Okay you don’t have to try it but what made it nasty?”

“well, allow me to officially welcome you to byulbit’s galaxy of constellations,” dita said, cringing a little at how cheesy that sounded, but holding out flowers all the same. “i’m sure it can’t’ve been fun to watch unit after unit debut first but…. you made it! and auriga’s song is so good. good for you.” @rvjoohye​ @jinheerv​

It had definitely been hard for Joohye to watch everyone debut, especially when she had worked so hard... For nearly half of her life; but now that her debut was here she didn’t know what to do, let alone what else to say.... All she could do was cry her little eyes out and through her arms around the other, “Thank you.” She mumbles, clutching the flowers tightly to her chest before offering her signature smile, “I’ll do my best.”

“All you have to do is just.... try it.” Joohye had seen a bunch of people talking about vegemite and how you either loved or hated it. While the Dancer was way to scared to try it herself, she figured that if she got one of her friends to eat it and they liked it, it’d give her enough courage to actually try and eat it herself. “Just close your eyes and say ‘aH’ it’s gonna take five seconds... I pinky promise.”

“some days i really regret having a business email,” jina admitted with a long-suffering sigh. “i just got three brand deal offers today, and one of them was for one of those stupid teas. i work for an athletics company– you really think i’m going to give the ok for one of those teas? it’s madness.”

“oof, those diet teas are no joke,” Joohye is almost instantly hit with flashbacks from one of her earlier trainee days, sipping on diet tea as if it would flush the weight gain from eating nothing but instant noodles and snacks all day and a rush of nothing but stomach pains and being glued to a toliet for the whole day. “Those things are awful, it’s a good thing you don’t advertise them.” She says, a shiver running through her spine.

“i’m at such an impasse,” aeri said with a little sigh. “i love the way my music sounds and what i’m putting out, but lord, i miss dancing and having choreography! i know what i make these days doesn’t suit choreo very well, but i was deviant’s lead dancer– it’s hard to shake the innate desire i have to dance.”

“I’m sure there’s  some choreo you could ad to it! it could be like.. choreo that follows the lyrics/melody or choreo that suits the beat? Don’t mix them though; when you mix melody choreo w/ beat choreo it can get messy very easily!-- well, i’m sure you know that but... Trying and coming up with something might help a lot!”

“joohye, i don’t doubt you’re tough and can handle people talking bad about you, but what i don’t think you can handle is new age deciding not to debut you because you have connections to someone known for leaking things to dispatch. they probably wouldn’t want to risk it. your career is worth more than my feelings,” she said bluntly

Truthfully Joohye didn’t think that entirely through, but even then a portion of her felt like if that was the case the consequences were worth it. Her debut had already been delayed countless of times before... would it really matter if it got pushed back further? Her resolve slowly weaken weighting over Woori’s words. her friend was right. “ But I don’t like not being able to hang out with you either..”

“why wouldn’t they put you in those covers? you’re such a good dancer– they’re lucky to have you,” hayoon insisted.

“Ah you know, sometimes they think i don’t suit the concept! I’ve had to work on stopping my smile while dancing.... But thank you!! that means so much! i’ve trained for so long i really feel like dancing is second nature to me now.”

“no way– you’ve got such a good shot at debuting soon. i’ll take the blame. it won’t be that big of a hit for me, all things considered,” hayoon answered. “yeah, okay, so maybe i would. but it’s just because i’m such a good friend.”

“I should still be okay, i don’t think new age is the type to be so overly... weird about stuff like that! I’ve already been on a few G-Project covers too so!” There’s a soft laugh that tumbles from Joohye’s lips shaking her head slightly, “Yeah, you’re definitely a good friend.”

“math,” she replied with a groan. that was her worst subject, and it always took her the longest to do assignments for it. but she sure as hell wasn’t going to skip it. not after what happened with terra prologue. “please! biyi unnie usually helps me, but she has schedules today.”

“Well! You’re in luck then!” She says cheerfully,  “I just happened to rank number 3 in my class and math is my forte!” Joohye goofs around a bit, before wrapping her arm around Melody’s shoulders, “We can study and i’ll order some food? Sound good?”
