would hamlet say six seven: a study
arguments for:
six seven itself has no actual meaning and originates from a clip of a viral song on tiktok, so hamlet's way of pretending to be "mad" could be repeating something widespread but meaningless, like how he quotes song lyrics and idioms (2.2, 430-432; 3.2, 306-310; 3.2 371-372)
hamlet often uses nonsensical, surreal humor, usually ones that appeal to the youth and confuse the older generation, to cope with his despair (2.2, 190-199; 5.1, 204-207)
he puts on the antic disposition partly to confuse claudius and gertrude, which this absolutely would
i don't think hamlet would ever have gen alpha humor, which is the point. he's changed to the point of being unrecognizable in his madness (2.2, 4-1; 316-321)
polonius would try to find meaning in it and come to an entirely incorrect conclusion
arguments against:
hamlet may not have tiktok or even know of this meme in the first place, because he's said to be a stable and well-liked individual prior to the play (4.7, 18-20)
it's actually rosencrantz and guildenstern who would keep saying six seven until hamlet decides to kill them

Nobita has an such a strange mismatch of traits
Like his ability to sleep super fast? Understandable. It fits nicely with the rest of his base characterisation and has led to some episodes that were, if not impactful storylines, interesting to watch
Being good at cat’s cradle?
Also very understandable. One of the only skills he got from practice, that he enjoyed enough to get good at. Not only that it informs something about his relationship with his grandma, with how he interacts with the world, and his childish nature
Shizukarian from that Nobita and the three fantastic musketeers movie
Wondering what it would be like if they had their own Spin-Off Series
small compilation of the jaisune moments from episode 854 'goodbye, gian!'
I appreciate the set up that Suneo outright refuses to believe Gian is moving at first, very assured that it's impossible he'd move until convinced otherwise.
Love that Gian took advantage of everyone thinking he was leaving, up until he realized that it really upset Suneo.
i always found these bandit lookalikes very endearing
Dorami-chan: Mini-Dora SOS!! (1989)
Although Caesar remained publicly silent about the birth of Caesarion, it is probable that in private circles in Rome he quietly accepted the boy's parentage. Conversely, throughout Egypt, Cleopatra made a great show of the birth and in repeated official pronouncements made it known that Caesarion's father was unambiguously Julius Caesar the Roman. Coinage issued by Cleopatra to celebrate Caesarion's birth forwarded an important tripartite message, for she appears on them with her baby boy in her arms. Mother and son play the triple roles of Isis and Horus for the benefit of her Egyptian subjects; for the wider Greek-speaking world they were no lesser than Aphrodite and Eros, and for the Romans the queen crafted herself as Venus, the divine ancestress of the Julii, the family of Julius Caesar, which made Caesarion Cupid, the divine offspring of the Roman goddess of desire.

Just got back from watching the new Doraemon movie and damn it was pretty good!
Now I must admit I might be biased because I watched it on the big screen and because I did not particularly like the earth symphony’s pacing.
But other than that this movie was a solid 8/10 for me!
The set up of themes about what makes good art and plot points were all mostly paid off well by the end. The characters were fun and the animation this time around was stellar!
I also loved the subtle ways the gang’s personality and group dynamics were set up. Like how they share mannerisms with the cat landing pose Nobita, Doraemon, and Jaian were shown to do. And the casual trust and closeness all of them share.
The small details of the backgrounds of everyone’s room in the castle, or the way Shizuka’s hand held onto Claire when she walked. All blink and you’ll miss it details but it helps flesh them out so much.
In terms of plot no one was truly relegate to the back burner too much in this movie. Shizuka saved everyone so many times over it’s amazing and got to show off her keen intellect and resilience. Jaian got to be a lot more in the spotlight this time around, and while he still had a bully gag scene he wasn’t locked into being a ‘dumb brute’.
The general tone of the piece was surprisingly quiet and even profoundly sad at times. I honestly still can’t make sense of that silence that followed as Nobita exited his painting leaving us with the shot of Doraemon alone surrounded by an endless void of bright colors.
That’s not to mention the volcanic elephant in the room!
For the entire run time I expected they would come back to that volcano and the kids would figure out some way to stop its eruption or something. But they never do and I can’t help but be left with the somber message of yes the kingdom is going to be destroyed, yes all these people and all these lives are going to be swept away by the endless march of time, and yes that okay because we cannot stop decay and change.
A surprise to be sure with the doraemon franchise but I personally liked it!
There were a few problems with pacing at some parts but other than that I enjoyed this movie a lot!
