When I said I love character development is in the Tanaka Suzuki type, where a character that is mean to be an almost unidimensional parody of a pretty boy with a sadistic side trope…
becomes one of the most expressive and human characters in the story.
Fun fact, this is actually what happens in a genuine relationship. It’s called mirroring. Basically, you start unconsciously copying small things your partner does, like how you sit or how you express yourself. Look at some of the panels, he reacts the exact same way Yoshio does.
Basically, it’s a subtle way of telling observant readers that Satou frequently watches Yoshio and ended up copying his facial reactions in his efforts to be more expressive.
I love these two so much.
This addition is so good to not reblog ❤️
