"From The Throat Of The Kingfisher". This painting was inspired by the discovery of a new frog species (Karaavali skittering frog) in Southern India. For years the call of the frog was mistaken for the call of the White-throated Kingfisher. Thus the Kraavali skittering frog sprung forth from the throat of the White-throated Kingfisher (not literally of course).
