This has been on my mind for a while, but I finally got the courage to post. A couple months ago I was talking to my friend who is in a theatre group. It was a couple days after a musical they had performed and she was ranting to me about how they were super stressed (more then usual) and how it was super hard to concentrate the day before the play. When I asked why, she said it was because one of her fellow actors could NOT stop sneezing. Apparently, this guy, an ACTOR, sneezes when he gets nervous. Like I didn’t even know this was a thing??!?? Like, she literally acted it out for me. She sat on the floor, knees drawn up, hands covering her face, and mimicked little chst-chst-chsts. She said he sneezed like 36 times before she left, annoyed.

but imagine this for any sort of performer; a musician, an actor, a singer, even a student giving a presentation. And everyone in their group/team is panicking because they have to go on in 5 minutes but one of their members is sneezing and sneezing and sneezing. And they have no idea how to stop them.

One of my very favourite lines I haven't gotten to use in a fic (yet) is:

"You really have a cold now."

It's like... yes the character has a cold, it's no news, it's been mentioned or even discussed before, but it was just a "bit of a cold". Just perhaps maybe a cold. A little sniffly, etc. But the cold has gotten significantly worse since, and after some especially pathetic show of symptoms, involving sneezing and maybe coughing and definitely a gross wet noseblow and whatnot, the other character can't but comment: You really have a cold now.

A sick/snz thought currently nesting in my brain: Someone usually pretty sensitive being sick, and because of the fever, they’re even more sensitive than normal, in more ways than one.  Cue their lover/partner pressing kisses down their neck/collarbones, eliciting gasps as it sends chills down their back. Maybe they lightly bite at certain points, a moan escaping through their lovers chapped lips.  But more than that, because of the haze in their brain, they have less control over reactions, so chills, gasps, and sneezes, all slip out easier.  Leading to their lover planting kisses up their jawline, smiling against the flushed skin at the purring they get in response, then planting light kisses down the bridge of their nose, leading to a fit of ticklish, unrestrained sneezes.
