I’m sad because a lot of blogs I like are choosing TS4 and completely dropping TS3. I just want to know if at least some people are sticking with TS3 or both TS3 and TS4

Update - Ughhh!!
So... once again my game is NOT WORKING!!! And I have no and I mean no idea as to why it stoped.
End of October - I'd just finished remodeling the Royal bath house, backed up the lot thru export, then saved the game. All is normal.
Next time I go to load up the game it won't even load the game itself nevermind the save file! Tried to replace with my backup Sims 3 folder but no go. CLA says it's a content issue, but I haven't installed anything new since 2021!. Thus I'm in the process of a deep deep deep dive into my content that I have installed cause this isn't the first time it's broken my game. I've done some lite deep dives prior but none like this one I'm currently in (installing content piece by piece file by file! Ugh... But I figured it will be worth it to fix this game once and for all. (Hopefully if the Sim Gods decide to be merciful and bless me with their favor I'll never have to do this in-depth of a reinstall again.)
Now aside from the fact that its a tone of shit it also took me a bit to start this endeavor. As I was so disappointed that my game stopped working yet again I let at least a month and a half go by without even looking at my game. (Also was super busy thru the holidays.) So that's the hold up. And I haven't decided to post the bath house pictures because I want to make sure I can get back into my game and play with what I've made and done if you get me. So I guess you could say I'm on hiatus for a bit and so I can fix this out but I'll be back.
Revamped Set - Presence Chamber

*Please note the unfished floor 😣 which by the way i didn't notice for an embarrassing long time. And whenever I put sims on this lot all of them had that negative mood icon for the room being unfinished too! But I just KNEW it was finished. Oh it was funny and crazy!*
Revamped:
Added 2 seats to the platform for her sister and her cousin. They are part of the royal family and I wanted them to have their own space in this royal space. And this way either can receive dignitaries and such but not actuary sit on the Throne. Added other little touches to make the room more Lux and Voilà! Turned out beautiful!

New Set! - The Queens Private Chambers (Palace Edition)
So I finished the Queens Bedchamber for the Palace. No need to mention its fantastic! Opps! Guess I did lol.
Revamped Set - Palace Sitting Room

Now I think the revamp turned out amazing! I like the room even more now.
Showed the pictures to a co-worker and she had this to say - "The room was nice before but in a cottage in the country sorta way, but now it looks like it belongs in a royal palace!"

Series Update -
K so here's a short rant on where my mind has been concerning my developing series -
So I'm in the process of redoing some of my old sets, some need renovations due to loss of the content that I placed there between installs before I started backing my stuff up better. And others I just wanna add little things to, as was the case with the theater I just posted.
Made a decision (one that naturally will lead to more work for me. But I'm having fun, and still can't figure out what the heck is pose players problem. So I might as well hammer out all of this work now especially since I'm sure that writing and photoshoots will take as much effort if not more.) I'm gonna still use the old castle courtyard entrance. (Will post pictures of it soon revamped of course. *wink*) It's gonna be another royal residence, royals go on progress and move between residences so it's perfect and this way I can still use all the sets I've painstakingly built. Thus I'll be making another sitting room set and another set of hallways, maybe even another entryway to go along with this new set up. But it also allows for me to still use some lots I had started to replace, I can just make them the castle location.
So loads to look forward to!
Revamped Set - Palace Theater Hall
So the last project I had worked on before the big reinstall (think it's been maybe 2 years now since then) was a theater hall to go along with the ballet dancers and the opera singer. Finally went into this build and added all the finishing touches. As always with my finished projects when I look at them I feel nothing but pride! And it's no less with this one, it turned out better than in my minds eye.
So I made it a three door entryway into the theater, it is purely an esthetic choice thought it fit the "theatrical" look. I now know from trying to take these shots that it was vastly impractical for trying to capture in photos but alas its to late now. Besides it does indeed look damn good if I do say so myself. Upon entering the theater there's a little antechamber/vestibule for intermissions and such.
Got some mini hallways leading into the hall. Each are identical so I didn't really take to many different shots of them.
And heres the theater hall itself.
Tried to make "Boxes" and had a ton of chairs in each but decided better cause I'm not trying to pose that many sims. So instead I put tables, I feel it gave the whole room a more intimate and (to me at least) indulgent feel more suited to a royal court. Cause why would they not be able to have food and entertainment.
The Queens box I decided to not include tables cause she'll have someone holding her food on a tray ready for her hands at all times, same for whoever is lucky enough to sit next to her. (Although I do want them to unofficially belong to her sister and her cousin due to their rights according to their rank) (Also now that I look I may add a rug underneath.)
And Finally we have the stage. Naturally props will be added whenever needed.
New Set! - Village / Town As A Backdrop
Made this for scenes like when she arrives in the capital or if they need to meet in town, things to that effect. Turned out pretty darn cute.

New Set! - Forest/Hunting Park
Hello to everyone, wanted to share the latest build for my w.i.p Historical series.
Wanted a forest/wooded area for scenes like travel and hunting. This is the result. (now I will add more shrubbery and little green details but I gotta be honest I got tired and I think it doesn't' look to bad the way it is now)

First up traveling. *note the horses are a decor object cause I will not be dealing with animals on top of all this, so get used to them*

Pose player is still not working just had them do things and paused after they started. Ha and I think this may be the way I try to start taking some shots cause I'm itching to start taking pics and writing this thing out.
GROAN! GRUMBLE GRUMBLE!
So beyond frustrated! My latest W.I.P was a kitchen for the palace, naturally it's been a hard laborious few weeks making it look just right.
Was almost done had little shit to do like recoloring some things ect, last went into this particular save 7/4 moved some objects to family inventory then save and exited the game. All well and good, normal right? Now...IT WONT LET ME GET BACK INTO THIS SAVE! Not sure why it wont (and my usual trick of just making a new copy of that save then playing the "new" save IS NOT WORKING!) So unless someone has any tips on how to fix this problem it looks as though I may (snarl) have to start over!
I am hoping someone has a tip to share so I wont have to start this over. But I am also starting to make moves for my last resort, to do a soft reinstall.
UPDATE:
Still can't get into this particular save, but upside I didn't have to do a soft reinstall of the game itself because it will let me into new towns and other saves. So thanks to @treason-and-plot who re-blogged one of my humble posts yesterday (thanks so much definitely wasn't expecting it!) I've got some new followers! May I just say welcome all newcomers and thanks for joining me as I work and build with the end goal (eventually because I've just thought of some new things to do.. lol) being my historical story/legacy/series.

also idk if anyone else experiences this but sometimes it can be difficult relating to the younger population due to generational differences, pop culture, etc.

New Set! - Barges!
This was my most ambitious idea fleshed out and it turned out great!
Little backstory to this set, I've always wanted a barge for my historical sims, but unfortunately I've never found one. Come close with some boats but none felt "right" so as I've been building lots for this I wondered, what if you build one?
And...Wow. I'm so proud at how it turned out, especially cause I walked into this one completely unsure how to execute my "vison".
So of course this is just a lot (I know I could have made a house boat but I didn't want something out in the "ocean" just something that would be on a river.) and I closed off both ends cause "they not going anywhere".
Also made a "Village", wanted the scene to look like a river passing a small village.
Naturally the biggest barge is the royal one, and initially it was just gonna be just the royal barge. Had it all set up with a seating area and I had some seats for musicians cause this is for leisure, but a friend was like "No if it's the Queens barge her musicians would be in a sepperate barge" so... It turned into a party!

So Proud. I'ts my new favorite, and gives me the confidence to make a forest for them to "hunt in" So look for that in the future!
