So I was bored and have been brainstorming about my Lavellan's family lately. Mostly what their reactions to Solas would be if she brought the Dreadwolf home and introduced him to the family (in an au where clan Lavellan didn't get murked).

Her older brother first would have a "prove it" reaction first and foremost. Which is fair because in a world where Solas told her about it in a non-trespasser situation, she'd first be checking for any head trauma and would also require him to prove it before believing it. After that this man would definitely have some type of crash out. I picture the Captain Holt bone moment but instead of bone it'd be "THE DREADWOLF?!"

Her mom would have opened a bottle of some type of alcohol and just be sitting in the corner. Because of course if anyone in the clan brought the Dreadwolf home it would be one of her kids. Of course it'd be one of her kids that do this.*

Her dad (if he hadn't died pre inquisition) would be the only one calm about this. That man has zero intent on getting in the middle of that and is operating on the "well if it makes her happy then sure, I guess this is fine".

*This response would only last up until the point this woman finds out Solas never had a mom, or any parent at all really. Her mom was a midwife, and the type of person who thinks that everyone deserves a caring parent. And would 1000% be happy taking up that role if needed, and she has. She has taken on the role of a motherly figure to anyone in the clan that needed one. She genuinely would think it's a crime that Solas never had anyone that would tell him stories or sing to him when he was small (she refuses to think about the fact that he didn't have a childhood due to being a spirit that's too brain melting for her to dwell on for too long). But really finding this out would make her instantly decide she has another son now. That's all it would take. Also even though Mallorn decided to keep her vallaslin, after she heard about Mythal in particular (she had her vallaslin) she would eventually have asked Solas to remove it. She wouldn't be able to stomach it after hearing everything. I don't know what Solas' reaction to that would be though. Maybe he'd be a halla in headlights because he's never experienced that before?

I've been thinking about the spirit friends/family that stick with these two in the Fade in my version of what happens in vg instead of what we got in the game. And I just thought about how it'd be funny if Solas thought that they stuck around because he's used to making friends with spirits and that's why they follow them. Only for him to find out that they stay because they like Lavellan so much they don't want to leave. I feel like he'd be torn between "same I also stick with her" and the "I've been usurped, I'm not the favorite anymore". That man would probably end up going through the five stages of grief over the topic 😆

Imagine if, at the end of vg rook and the gang run into Solas and Lavellan earlier on than they did. And there's a scene where they're all talking and an arror grazes Lavellan's arm only for Solas to instantly turn this huge group of enemies all to stone, then turns back to rook and the gang like this.

This is so incredibly niche. But I'm doing a resist durge bg3 run for the first time and also replaying God of War Ragnarok. And I have never felt so strongly that Kratos and a resist durge would get along SO well.

@skrevel - Needless to say, your idea about the Fen'harel statues and new blooms showing up around them post the Solavellan ending really got stuck in my head... and it inspired an idea for me to finally use my 3D printed wolfy statue. It still needs work, but I was thrilled with it once the greenery was in place. (I tried to do some weathering on it prior to this and - let's just say it did not work.)

So this is a headcanon that's been bouncing around my head for a bit. Bellara travels around with the nadas dirthalen post vg to share the knowledge with other dalish tribes (and other elves who would want to know). And when she travels down south (lets pretend they didn't nuke the whole thing off screen and there were areas that weren't affected as badly as others.) In these areas she finds, not just a lot of elves. She finds out a good chunk of them either supported Solas, or were straight up working for him. And he had been doing work before the ritual to get as many of them moved away from the potential "blast zone" as possible. That's why Rook and the gang don't come across his agents in the north. It also adds in opportunities for one of my favorite things to think about. Which is the vg gang having a shocked Pikachu face moment when they learn there's way more to Solas than they initially thought.

I'm back in Solavellan hell, so here's an idea I've been thinking about for a while and want to spend more time fleshing out later. But in Navarra, it's talked about how they view death and birth as one spirit enters the fade in death it displaces one from the fade. What if that was partially true, but just for elves. And what if instead if them becoming restless spirits or something else, they're born. What if the elves all used to be spirits but can't remember because they were born and didn't make bodies.

And building off of that, what if Lavellan was a spirit Solas knew from before that just didn't take a body like he and the other Evanuris did. Idk, there's just something about the idea that even if neither of them realize it due to one thing or another, they've known each other before they had lungs to draw breath.

Here's something that's been bouncing around my brain all evening, and the more I think about it the more I like it. So you know how the wolf statues reveal murals tied to Solas' regrets? What if in the wolf's den area of the lighthouse they found a similar statue. But its not like the rest of them. It's not a wolf, it's a fox (one of the two animals I associate HEAVILY with my Lavellan). And when it's placed on the pedestal by a bare wall a HUGE mural of of her appears. Like covers the entire wall huge, it's easily the biggest in the lighthouse.

I think it's very fitting to one, actually have a mural of Lavellan, and two it's very clear that it's separate from his regret murals. Both in location, and statue and the sheer size of the execution.

So I will be obsessed with the whole "Solas and Lavellan's love story growing into myth like proportions post game" probably for forever. And I had another idea along these lines that I now love very much. What if people start noticing that there is now a new flower that only grows around Fen'harel statues and no where else. And when I say new I mean NEW. No one has ever seen them before, no one has even read a description of them before. You can't even keep them in pots because they only thrive around Fen'harel statues. Possibly also has alchemical properties related to the fade, or to help people talk with spirits.

Returning to this post bc I have MORE thoughts on it. If someone brewed tea with them and drank it before bed what if that helped people dream. Like Solas is a dreamer and travels the fade, but it only works for a short time. Bonus points bc Solas hates tea which I find funny to think about. Also you know who would be VERY interested in a new flower tied to the fade in some way, AND can be made into tea? Emmrich Volkarin that's who!!
