Do you know why I say time and time again on YT videos that if you don’t like a piece of media, you should just leave the room instead of engaging with it or making it everyone else’s problem?
It’s because of events like this.
Actions that seem to mean well at first, always go too far and start the process of removing stuff that you yourself may enjoy.
DDLC is a gut punching series that tells its story well and needs all of its story elements to tell it. If that is something someone can’t handle, then they should leave it be, not cheer or support its removal.
And before you say “oh it’s just the android version, who plays it there?”

2) who’s to say this isn’t testing the waters and see where else it can be removed?

Im sorry to say but, This was NEVER with good intentions. It was never once even slightly. It's been confirmed that OpenAI and Meta are funding the censorship movements and radical censorship activists. From the get-go these companies are evil purely and simply. Some members may be genuinely, earnestly delusional in thinking censorship of this scale is good... but most of them know it's wrong and are just tools being glad to serve for money. If Option 2 of "Testing the Waters" isn't the truth, then I do think that it'd be AI randomly taking down the thing.
The loss of this kind of art is very devastating, I didn't play DDLC myself, but I still recognize the effect it had on the Internet, how much it mattered to people. Art is Expression, nomatter what it is expressing, and nomatter what the artist themselves believes. The arts are something we should protect, and not let die.
Just woke up from a dream that was...REALLY odd.. it was trippy because I was in a creation which the base shape was triangles, rather than the base shape of our reality, which was something more round... And This went through many many many layers, somehow I could tell thios was another format of how existance could've been shaped, and there was two layers of reality, one of which was being formed by someone which was starting to destroy reality... As an entity from another format of existence, I looked like a shadowy mass with divinely glowing golden patterns... And the more I try to remember that reality the more I feel somehow it was different to us in being triangles... like glows werent spheres but triangles... and somehow when someone asked what my glows were, I had explained "Those are my clothes, translated many times through into your reality."... then "I" went back through every single stage of shape and format that made up their reality, showing them that not only were they a videogame inside of thier own triangle reality, but then-... guided them to show the fundamental choice of shape... "If reality was made with this starting block instead of triangles, you get my reality", and went through the many shapes in our existence until the format matched this reality... and then I woke up???
and the weirdest part is, now Im thinking in such weird ways of "Reality is made of shapes" with each shape translating into other shapes, and Its like I feel the shape of reality itself..? Help?

There are other victims here (RIP tapestry and delve 🫠), but the appropriation of the em dash—a punctuation mark beloved by writers everywhere—feels especially personal.
A kind of low-grade panic is ensuing. Writers who once memed their own em dash overuse—the greatest punctuation mark ever to grace the control-freak’s lexicon, frankly—are suddenly backing away to avoid accusations.
No. More. We have centuries of dash-abusing writers behind us. We will not sit quietly while AI repurposes our beloved stilted aside—or the just-one-more clarification the sentence demands—or the dramatic pause your comma could never—etc.

Anime Idea: The Broken Soul is Reborn, as whom?
A Young Man who has struggled with their identity for a while, as they wish to be an intellectual and yet cannot due to their lack of ability to comprehend and follow along with their persuits... They've always struggled with emoting and being a "real person" and love rational arguements and understanding. But- when they had encountered a demoness that seemed to find them as interesting, they found that they were far more resistant than expected and did not want to be helped- and became banished by sheer force of will. However- a mark of corruption was left upon their soul by said demoness... one that would be the key that unlocked their true desires...
Suffering from this curse, they seek to break free from it, and search the fantasy land for a cure... They blame it, they reject it, and then eventually on their journey someone asks them why they think they're cursed, and it's made clear that ever since the curse was afflicted they felt as if they were burdened with shame and rejection of who they are... That anyone seeing them wasn't able to see them but something else entirely... And Episode 1 Ends with them approaching a Shrine said to cure curses and ailments...
And after this, the Kitsune of the shrine descends down herself... to examine them directly. They then chuckle amusedly, much to the protagonist's dismay as they ask what was so funny... "This is a curse indeed, but not one casted by anyone in particular... You were born with it..." Annndd the Drumroll-- They're T r a n s ! ! ! But- after this comes the comedic part. The Kitsune removes the subtle rune that forces them to feel this strongly and offers them kinship due to their determined soul and the fact the desire has not vanished despite removing the rune, partially out of amusement but partially due to earnest wishes to help them. This is when their comrade on their journey arrives and declares "I knew you could do it-" or something, and pauses... and however it happens, it turns out that the Partner on the journey was also a demoness, but wanted to help them through the pain and grief by finding someone to actually help them cure the affliction... But now that they know they're trans, they offer them to become kin of theirs instead.
This poor person's life is now being contested between a longtime friend turning out to be the very thing that had twisted their own life upside down and a Holy Kitsune attempting to offer them to become kin as that would be the easiest way they know to offer them what they seek. And the whole anime is about the two sides attempting to help the MC out and try out new things, to help them adjust but also to tempt them to take their side instead of the other. This isn't quite a harem anime but is similar in "Choosing which one to go with", though obviously differing in that neither side worships them- just wants to help and might be a bit too against eachother.

So despite the rest raising as skeletons, the Absolute Monarch is now wandering the lands... and needs to be slain before the next game starts or we will have many problems. I do genuinely hate that it's a hot take,
But- Eternal Punishment is exclusively evil, and pointless. It causes nothing to become better.
While it is true that I also believe that Vindicative Justice is inherently wrong, it is also true that many people do not understand "Eternal", or "Forever", and many people also do not seem to realize that the reason they want bad people to suffer is not because it solves the problem, but that humanity possesses inherent sadism. Sadism is not a synonym for evil, even if it is arguably a form of it. Sadism is the desire to cause harm to, see the anguish of, and to enjoy abuse of a victim. Whether or not said victim "Deserves" it or not, Sadism applies if these things are true.
And for most people, sadism is triggered when someone is seen as evil and/or a threat. Sadism is also a very effective vice that turns our stress and creativity into malevolent joy. And what is going to bring that kind of joy more than seeing someone suffer forever?
A thing I believe is that Empathy and Sadism are not nessecarily mutually exclusive but, Empathy forces people to artificially feel connection to people and wish to help others that they are connected to, while reducing any sadistic desire towards them. When you think of "Eternal Torment" do you envision all meaning slowly withering away until the victim loses sentience and is just a ragdoll being thrown around and abused? Because unless you reset them every now and then, they will break and become a non-sentient puppet and there is nothing you can do to stop it. And even before that by suffering they endure will eventually eclipse any suffering they incurred and become inherently more of a bad thing than anything they've ever done.
Am I saying "Bad people shouldn't be punished"? No, I am saying that causing suffering that isn't explicitly nessecary is pointless, evil, and just outright malign. Eternal Torment has no purpose, even if a lesson is learned it doesn't matter because it's endless. Just kill them, there is no point to keeping a threat alive or existant if it stays such, and you even discourage any lessons from being learned by making them resent you and the whole system. While it's ideal to reform bad people into good ones in my opinion, not everyone CAN be redeemed, so instead of torturing them which won't teach them anything, just kill them or re-form them.
