❁ ❁ “ I’ll take care of it then, ¿why are you so persistent in helping? Many would have already jumped onto the opportunity of resting. ” Had she taught her too well when it came to work ethics? Usually, however, there was some underlying meaning to why she wanted to stay. Many would have said she was strong-willed like her mother, but she was softer when it came to sympathizing another. She was more patient, slightly more naive, too, but that itself had come with youth.
It was hard not to stare at her hand, still concerned as ever & contemplating on whether if she should use the car. But she mustn’t be too rash about this decision, she would call them later & ask how long it would take for them to come. As of now, this would have to do, & so far it seemed to be doing its trick. Now all she had to do was convince her to rest, which in her entire life she didn’t think she would have to convince someone to not do anything (herself being an exception).
“ You can keep your promise for another time. Your own tíos wouldn’t allow it once they see your state–& either way I’m going to make sure you don’t lift a single finger. ” The child, unfortunately, was always in her mother’s sight, despite how far or close she was around her. Somehow, she figured it out, & whenever asked was asked about it, she would only take a glimpse of her dearest cat as a response.
❝ Mama --- ❞ The girl was STERN now with her voice ( --- she got it from her mother, of course. ) She glanced at her for a long while, brows knitted together while doing so. There was no use on arguing with her own mother for too long. The woman knew best more than anyone else in her life, in fact. Coco relied on her for almost everything, simply because she had no one else to rely on. Glancing down to the gash on her palm, knowing well that she couldn’t hold back the way she intentionally felt. Tears withered lightly on the sides of her eyes, threatening to fall.
Eventually, they did just that while she tried to come up with something else to say. In all honesty, this hurt a lot ----- There was a lot to say but there was more or less something to do OTHERWISE than to cry from the pain. However, she was still a child and therefore she was trying WAY too hard to keep her posture. ❝ Don’t be mad at me, I just want to keep helping ---- I didn’t mean to injure myself. ❞
