My Near Death Experience - Compositing
This was my first shot at compositing. I took the live footage first and added the explosion in later. Now great but it worked well.

Predict the Weather And Go To Jail
2012 has started off well with the new laws coming in and giving us an indication of the SA government’s agenda. They intend taking away more of your freedoms and freedom of speech is the main target. It seems that they don’t like people talking about the weather. So, no more small talk or idle chats about the weather or you will be facing 10 years in jail. The government and the SA Weather Bureau will no longer allow us to express our feelings over what weather could be coming, especially on social networks because it could spread panic. What a load of crap! An article on hayibo.com quoted a spokesman for the SA government as saying, “The South African government has defended its plan to send unauthorised weather forecasters to prison, saying that weather, like poor people, was very susceptible to suggestion and didn’t need much provocation to indulge in violent, attention-seeking behaviour. " I read that 5 times and still don't understand it. The spokesman, Zephyr Zuma, put it all in context by saying, “There is now only one weather forecaster, and that is us, and the forecast is sunny and totalitarian clear,” said Zuma. “I mean, totally clear. Totally. Not…the other word.” The “other” word being Totalitarian From Wikipedia – “Totalitarianism (or totalitarian rule) is a political system where the state recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life wherever feasible.[1] Totalitarian regimes stay in political power through an all-encompassing propaganda disseminated through the state-controlled mass media, a single party that is often marked by personality cultism, control over the economy, regulation and restriction of speech, mass surveillance, and widespread use of terror.” That sounds about right! Zuma also said, “…if you call weather bad, it lives up to your expectations.” So what he is saying is that when people predict the weather it listens and does what they say? This is obviously the reason that Weather SA is often so wrong. Must be frustrating having other people change the weather all the time. He was even kind enough to indicate who the target of this law is, “If you’ve got a hunch, for God’s sake keep it to yourself,” said Zuma. “And here I’m looking specifically to you English-speaking lot with your obsessive small talk about the weather.” English speaking lot? Obsessive small talk? No buddy, you have it all wrong, we are all to busy working to pay the salary that you don't deserve. This may seem like a joke to most people but what you must realise is that the underlying agenda is far more serious. Our freedoms are being taken away, piece by piece, and there is nothing we can do about it. We are being conditioned to be careful of what we say so as not to show the government for what they are and to blindly accept their control over our lives. If you have the ability to fight this do it. Speak out now before they stop you speaking completely. Anyway, the wind has come up and the clouds have come over. Who knows what will happen next because the weather SA site has changed the predictions for today 3 times in the last 2 hours. Wikipedia Link Hayibo.com Article
Thinking Big Is Just Not Enough
Many people that I know have big dreams and they have had them for many years. Unfortunately for most, that is where it ends. People go through life with the idea that to think big is to be big. You are what your think … well that’s a start but if you don’t do something, nothing is going to happen. Over time the dreams will shrink to emulate reality and eventually they are lost completely and people end up living in the past wondering what could have been if only they had their ‘break’. I am writing this in an effort to help people to get their ‘break’ without just hoping and depending on others to do it for them. Maybe you are one of those people, maybe not. Regardless, I hope that this article will get you thinking and make a difference to at least a few people. Never depend on others. This is no big secret and deep down you probably already know about all of this, but maybe you didn’t know how seriously you should take it or how to do it. It doesn’t matter because here is your chance to do it the right way and give your dreams a serious chance. Do not think for a moment that anything comes easily. To achieve anything you will have to put in the effort and I know that at this point most people will have stopped reading. Everyone wants something for nothing, to earn a ‘quick buck’ or ‘get rich quick’. In your dreams maybe, that doesn’t happen to regular people. We have to work. So you are still reading. There is hope for you. If you really want to be successful you need to make a change in your life, work towards your dream and learn something new, and there is no time like the present. Don’t procrastinate, just do it. I am a great fan of Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad). For those of you that have not read his book, I will explain his cashflow quadrant to you. This will be the first step in deciding where you would like to fit in, in the world. Most people will find themselves on the left-hand side of the quadrant as an employee or a self employed person. Just remember that there is a vast difference between being a business owner and being self employed. The left-hand side represents 80% of the world population and only possesses 5% of the wealth. An employee and a self employed person are in essence the same. They have a job and if they are not doing that job they do not earn. A self-employed person runs his business on his own and sells his services to clients much like an employee. They may earn a little more but this is only the cost of less security. On the other hand we have the right-hand side. Business owners and Investors make up 20% of the world population and possess 95% of the wealth. Business owners own a system and have people work for them. Investors make their wealth work for them. So… which side of the quadrant would you like to be on? If you answered, “the left”, stop reading and go back to what you where doing. If you chose the right, it’s time to knuckle down to some real work. It may not happen this week, month or even year but if you put in the effort you will be able to live your dream.
Wordpress 3.3 Released
Wordpress just keeps getting better and better. Wordpress 3.3 has just been released and it comes with some really cool features.
Easier to Add Media
With the new drag and drop feature you can add media to your posts, pages or library by simply clicking on the add media button, when your media uploads, Wordpress automatically detects the file type and displays it the right way. They have also added the ability to upload rar and 7z files.
In the Dashboard
The old header and admin bar have been combined which makes it a bit neater. The really cool dashboard change is the fly-out menus. Now you don't have to spend time opening a menu item to see the sub-menu items. Hover over the menu item and a fly-out shows you the sub-menu. When you click on any menu item, any other menu that is open automatically minimises so you don't have to keep closing things that you are not working in. Awesome Stuff!
Update Features
From now on, when you update, a pop-up will open showing you what has changed. You can also see the changelog by clicking on the Wordpress logo in the dashboard admin bar. Whenever you update you will also see a welcome screen. Kinda makes it feel like a fresh install. There are also some nice 'under the bonnet' changes that developers will enjoy including fixing widgets that get messed up when you change themes. Check it out at wordpress.org
It's All About The Money!
“Money is a new form of slavery, and distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that it is impersonal – that there is no human relation between master and slave.” Leo Tolstoy, Russian writer.
Money is power and having control of money gives you power over the people that use it, which is basically… everyone. Many governments outsource the function of their respective central banks to private organisations that are given the power to create currency out of nothing. They then loan that money to the government and charge them interest. Taxpayers are then burdened with the costs of the loans. My question would be, why is a ‘for profit’ business allowed to be in control of what the government should be running without profit? Maybe South Africans can be thankful. I’m not sure I would be happy letting our government run a bake sale. But I’m still not comfortable that an ‘independent’ organisation, created for profit, having that much power in determining our monetary policy. Obviously they will make decisions in their own favour regardless of interference from the government. The US probably has it worse than South Africa. They have to keep finding reasons to print more money to keep that beast of a Federal Reserve happy.
"Issue of currency should be lodged with the government and be protected from domination by Wall Street. We are opposed to…provisions [which] would place our currency and credit system in private hands." – Theodore Roosevelt
Funny how all the countries that produce oil have had radical leadership changes lately. Could that be because they started talking about changing from Dollars to Euros. If oil was not sold in US$, the US would be finished. Their markets would crash so badly that they would not recover. We were told that the wars were about terrorism, human rights and MDWs but anyone with a brain would realise it is about oil, but not completely. It’s about control of the people that sell the oil. This is to ensure the oil is paid for in Dollars so that there is a demand. The economic and banking systems are not too difficult to understand but they are made complicated to hide some shady details. Banks are allowed to loan out more then they own in assets. I have heard up to 10 times more than they own in assets. Here lies a major problem and part of the reason for the financial crisis in 2008. If they are not able to collect on their loans they are not able to pay their debts. When this happens banks start to fold. But it is ok because the big ones get bailed out. And who do you suppose pays for the bail out. Yup, we do, the taxpayers that they have been ripping off for years. Here are a few quotes from bankers:
“The bank hath benefit of interest on all moneys which it creates out of nothing.” William Paterson, founder of the Bank of England in 1694, then a privately owned bank.
“Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.” Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744-1812), founder of the House of Rothschild and the father of modern banking.
“The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits or be so dependent upon its favours that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system, will bear its burdens without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.” The Rothschild brothers of London writing to associates in New York, 1863.
Banks do not care about the people that they service. They are in business to make money. You are considered a liability to a bank if you have a credit balance. You are only an asset if you owe them money. They will do their best to make sure that you are in debt. Any government leader that tries to interfere with banks and the banking system in a country will be taking his life in his hands.
"The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity". -Abraham Lincoln
As we know, Lincoln was assassinated.
“The death of Lincoln was a disaster for Christendom. There was no man in the United States great enough to wear his boots and the bankers went anew to grab the riches. I fear that foreign bankers with their craftiness and tortuous tricks will entirely control the exuberant riches of America and use it to systematically corrupt civilization.” Otto von Bismark (1815-1898), German Chancellor, after the Lincoln assassination
Anyway, I hope that is enough to get you thinking. Maybe it is time to cut back, tighten your belt, repay your loans and get out of debt because as long are you owe banks money you are a slave to them. You will be destined to work for them for the rest of your lives as they cause taxes to rise so that you earn less and less.
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.” – Thomas Jefferson

The End of Freedom is Nigh
On the 19th of November 1997 Nelson Mandela said, "Press freedom will never be under threat in South Africa as long as the ANC is the majority" (source: The Internet) 14 years later, almost to the day, the National Assembly (with an ANC majority) decided to pass the “Secrecy Bill”. The claim is that, when the bill is enacted, it will serve to protect state secrets from being leaked and published. What it really does is it gives the government the ability to block anything from being published simply by claiming that it is a state secret. We all know that people don’t read the news for the feel-good articles. Newspapers thrive on controversy and scandal and sometimes they do naughty things like bend the truth or illegally monitor other people’s conversations. There are always going to be people that break the rules, in any profession and they should be dealt with. However, the people of South Africa have had no say in this bill and the ANC politicians have rushed it through the process without considering any objections. They can and they are in the majority so they can do what they want. The bill is not law…yet. It still has to go through the Council of Provinces (which has and ANC majority) and then it must be signed by the President. Obviously the opposition will take the matter to the Constitutional Court. It does seem strange to me that, just recently, a less than favourable person was appointed, by the President, the head the Constitutional Court. It also seems convenient that this bill is being pushed through just at the time when the President was pressured into reopen the arms deal investigation. Coincidence? As far as I am aware, all government tenders are paid for by the taxpayers. That would mean the tenders and tender processes would to be open to the public. Any cases involving fraud and corruption relating to said tenders should therefore also be open to the public. After all, politicians are civil servants and should be open to public scrutiny. Ultimately we are entrusting them with the running of the country and we are paying them to do their jobs. When you pay someone to do a job for you, you have the right to any information related to that job. Well we have a problem, and it is not unique to South Africa. Politicians have too much power and act like they are above the people (until election time) as if we work for them. Something is wrong with this picture. They are making themselves untouchable and we cannot do a thing about it. If this so called “Secrecy Bill” is enacted, and I don’t see how anyone is going to stop it, we will be stepping back to the days of Apartheid and censorship. We will be one step closer to being Zimbabwe part 2. With all the talk of nationalisation and expropriation we are going to get there fast. So enjoy the freedom you have now because it will soon be gone and the politicians will have free reign to be as corrupt as they want to be without fear of prosecution. All that can save this country now is a miracle.
Beware Of The Scam Reporters
This is an article that I posted on another one of my blogs. It provoked quite a reaction from the dodgy people that I mention in it so I decided to put it here. Since I posted it I have been getting hate mail and phone calls from people that have been spammed with emails containing my name and phone number. These emails contained adverts for all sorts of pharmaceutical enhancement products and worse. Needless to say, I have absorbed a lot of bad language and handed out a fair bit of my own. People are really dumb. If I was to send out spam, it wouldn't have my contact details in it especially if it came from a very strange email address. I have a feeling that some of the calls were from the dodgy people themselves. Scum! Well I have opened cases with the South Africa Police but I doubt anything will ever happen. Anyway, here it is...
Scam Reporting Background
Scam reporting websites (forums and blogs mainly) are dedicated to exploiting other websites and businesses for their own gain. They say that they are there to expose scams, which you would think is a noble service… but think again. You will recognise them by the word “scam” in the titles of most of their posts or threads and a whole lot of advertising (Google and other).
Scam Reporter’s Modus Operandi
They connect to well know internet marketers or join mailing lists and wait for them to send out a marketing e-mail. Then the trouble starts. They create a thread in their forum, using all the right search engine keywords in the header like, “scam”, the marketers name and the business name. That way they can get maximum hits to their site. Of course, that’s what they want. Some ignorant people will even post a question about whether a company is legitimate and no matter how legal it is, they will turn it into a scam. The reason is that they make money from advertising revenue, so the more people that find their site… the more money they make. Of course nothing that they post about most of the companies is factual. But the truth is not what they want. What they want is controversy and traffic so that they can get money. In some cases they even pay people to unreasonably argue with people that try and defend the targeted business. What they do is act completely unreasonably and continue repeating questions and not accepting answers until the defendant finally gives up and then they can say that they have won. But they go even further than that. In many cases they do not even allow comments or they close a thread that just sits in the search engines and leeches traffic. They have even been known to send threatening letters to the suppliers and service providers of the company telling them that they are involved in a scam and their name is being sent to the FBI. Obviously, the suppliers that do not know this tactic are scared and want to cut ties and the business gets shut down or has to move. This provokes a response from the business which then keeps their thread alive for a little longer. The longer it is alive the more money they make on advertising. Sometimes they even send out mails (not directly) offering assistance to fix your broken reputation, for a cost. Then they make more. As soon as someone responds to one of these bogus articles and asks for the articles to be removed the articles are duplicated and only the one that you ask to be deleted disappears, but it will always show on Google. When you go to those deleted articles all you get are adverts… and they can make more money.
Interesting Information
None of the people commenting or posting are willing to give their real names or contact details but I’m pretty sure that most of them have shady pasts and don’t want to be investigated. They get paid for sitting in front of their computers all day telling lies and frustrating legitimate businesses. Real scam companies will not bother to try and respond to them, so they target legal companies with lots to lose. Many people have failed in Network Marketing (MLM) because they didn’t take the time to do it properly or put in the required effort. This is no fault of the legitimate Network Marketing companies. But this is the market that these unscrupulous people attack because it’s easy. People are more willing to believe a scam report because it makes it easier for them to do nothing. The scam reporters love these lazy people because they can count on their support and, of course, make money out of them.
In Conclusion
Don’t visit their site… that’s what they want.
If you do happen to stumble on the site (this is possible because the links do not always contain the scam reporting company’s name) don’t click on anything. Just leave.
Do not trust anything that you read from anyone on their site. Do your own investigation. There are real resources available online through the Federal Trade Commission and the Direct Selling Association.
Remember that there are as many scams out their as there are sites that operate like these scam reporting sites. You need to make sure for yourself.
If you have concerns that are not addressed by the company’s website ask them. Send a support ticket or e-mail. If you don’t get a response or the question is avoided, you may be dealing with a scam.
But whatever you do, don’t get your advice from scam reporting sites, they are the worst of the bad bunch and the biggest scammers around.
They destroy people’s dreams and the reputation of companies for their own personal gain. Parasites!!!
