OMG I've been following you for a long time and never bothered to talk to you directly, but after seeing you rambling about the relationship between Discord and Celestia – YES, YES, IT'S ALL TRUE AND I THINK THE SAME WAY TOO.
I would have loved for the series to have given us a little more of the relationship between the two of them, because it seems like Fluttershy is the only close friend he has, besides Spike and Big Mac. BUT THE FACT THAT CELESTIA ASKED FLUTTERSHY TO REFORM HIM, LIKE. NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THIS. If it weren't for her, he would still be trapped in the statue! And even then she didn't have the courage to reform him herself and asked Fluttershy instead??? AND FLUTTERSHY BLUSHING 😭😭😭😭😭 I would absolutely love to see more of the two of them together, chatting about Discord.
I would blush too if a beautiful woman who was also our princess/goddess asked me for help.

BUT YOU GET ITTTTTTTT!!! The series underutilized Discord so badly, I feel like after his redemption they totally forgot about him even though he’s such an interesting concept. I think they relied too much on Fluttershy being his main friend (and frankly their friendship felt so toxic in the beginning, so it wasn’t a super smart move)—he had the potential for a lot of interesting relationships with so many other characters who I think he would’ve gotten along with a whole lot. The series especially seemed to drop the ball when it came to Tia and Discord, we never even really went into enough depth about what Celestia’s intentions were in redeeming Discord (and it feels SO out of character for Celestia to make such a rash decision and then decide to drop it on someone else for no reason) UGHHHHH I wish the writers saw what I saw 💔💔
Fluttershy and Celestia are a dreadfully underrated duo, they’ve both wielded the element of kindness and have a lot in common! I have no idea how any of the mane 6 handle talking to Celestia so casually because I think I’d short circuit with just one word LOL

(Part of this was written in August so if my thoughts seem jumbled give me some grace 😭)
Recently rewatched ‘The Return of Harmony’ and I noticed a few things. First of all, Discord wants to flirt with Celestia soooo bad… he’s annoyed the entire time the mane 6 is there. Like, you cannot convince me he didn’t bs that riddle just so they could go to the garden and leave him and Celestia alone LMAO. “Did you miss me, Celestia? I missed you.” yeah okay bro get a room.
On a more serious note though, he makes himself smaller and more comfortable when speaking to Celestia. Why? I’d assume he seeming doesn’t want to spook her, which is weird because we know he can fight her head on and he’s stolen the elements at this point so why’d he be trying to avoid scaring her? No reason, besides maybe the fact that he doesn’t want her afraid of him. We know he isn’t afraid of scaring the others because he takes amusement in the mane 6’s fear later on and becomes big in the window to scare them specifically but yknow could always be a coincidence 👀
But also, it made me realize that Discord is kind of obsessed with her. Discord is the only villain who tends to avoid using her title. And when he does bring up her title, he either doesn’t really seem to take it very seriously or he’s using it while talking to other characters. He also has no respect for her personal space whatsoever—which you could argue he does with other characters as well but even with Fluttershy, he’s not nearly as handsy as he is with Celestia. If he needs to hold on to something or grab someone, she’s his first choice. The comic snippet I put of him and Celestia together while talking to Twilight really got me because there is no contextual reason for him to be intertwining his tail with her leg in that scene. Literally all he’s doing is watching Celestia talk to other ponies—he’s not trying to intimidate her or reaffirm their friendship or anything, he just wants to hold her.
He’s constantly thinking about Celestia, whether it be in his dreams or just mentioning her when she’s not apart of the conversation at all. Celestia has no role in the DND episode yet he still manages to talk about her! One of his most thoughtful actions ever is when he genuinely tries to figure out what to get Celestia for her birthday and spends a whole party (that could be spent being chaotic) thinking about it and stalking her the whole time. When he’s evil, he always keeps it day. And I know the comics aren’t canon, but they push the two together so much!! He singles her out so much!
And this part might be a stretch but when Cosmos takes over the princesses’ bodies, the only one she uses as a vessel for her romantic feelings towards Discord is Celestia. Maybe she knows that Discord would be most receptive to flirting from Celestia, who knows 🤷♀️
But point is, even if you pretend that all of this is platonic or Celestia doesn’t reciprocate, or whatever—it’s clear that Discord has a special interest in and relationship with Celestia. It doesn’t have anything to do with their past as enemies because he doesn’t have these moments with Luna and, frankly, never acknowledges her existence. So… just some food for thought. Dislestia definitely isn’t as much of a stretch as some people like to pretend and I think it’s fair to feel cheated by the show for giving us these two fascinating characters with a really interesting history and dynamic just to do nothing with them
there’s NO way that sending your sister—your only confidant, family, and living friend—to the Moon for a thousand years has no psychological effects on you whatsoever. 10 bits that the hallucinations started before the first decade.

sometimes I rewatch mlp and realize how much I hate the show before I close my eyes and delude myself into thinking my interpretation of it is canon ❤️
Baby Luna here isn’t taking Celestia’s lesson very seriously because she knows that her sister will be there to save her regardless if she can swim or not. Luna also knows Celestia is too soft to ever actually hurt her, LOL (even when she’s nightmare moon) . Anyway, pre-princesses Luna and Celestia have my heart <33
I’ve always loved the headcanon that Luna was part bat pony. I mean come on, the horse goddess of the night plus ponies who are only active during night?? This was mostly a quick piece to get the thought of it out of my head. I spend too much time think about drawing ponies and then NOT drawing ponies.
I wonder if bat ponies were ostracised before or after her banishment. Because if Nightmare moon helped in making ponies distrustful of bat ponies, I’m sure Luna wouldn’t forgive herself (but she’d also beat up bigots because her past mistakes aren’t an excuse for singling out normal bat ponies).
Dawwwg he is so obsessed with her like the pink fluffy clouds that make it rain erm… chocolate? Her favorite? The fact that he keeps it day all the time? (“The beautiful light of day~”) The sunflowers everywhere? He makes everything pink and purple the colors are exactly the same broooo
