Klavier/Apollo: A++++ the greatest ship of all time Jounouchi/Anzu: C- ...like i think it’s fine and i’ve honestly tried to romo ship them, but it just doesn’t do anything for me? Albert/Franz: B ...i didn’t appreciate them enough the first time around, cuz i was too deep in count hell, but this is an excellent ship where franz was canonically in love with albert and u gotta respect that

Sonic/Knuckles, Hakushaku/Ferndand, Mai/Ty Lee?

Sonic/Knuckles:Long time OTP! In fact, I remember being sad when SA2 came out in 2001, because everyone stopped shipping SonKnux in favour of Sonadow back then. But SonKnux has regained some love these days and that makes me so happy. Honestly, my favourite version of this ship is actually the Boom version? Like, Sonic/Eggman is the most canon Boom OTP, but Sonic/Knuckles still have a lot of moments in the cartoon.A hc for them is that Sonic is the person who can get Knuckles to leave Angel Island the easiest, even if Knuckles himself doesn’t realise that.Hakushaku/Ferndand:I always feel bad for not giving proper answers to the Gankutsuou ones, but it’s genuinely been too long for be to draw forth opinions on some aspects of the series as easily as I’d like. Which is a shame, since the relationship between these two is one of the driving forces of the whole series. I’m sure that I would ship them if I rewatch it though.Mai/Ty Lee:Definitely my ship for these two characters. Again, it’s been a long time since I watched the series, but I don’t have any ships for these two other than this one, at least not right now. They balance each other out well and clearly care for each other so much. It would be a good and healthy relationship, which both of these characters deserve.

the character i least understand: I don’t really get upper-class society in general, so yeah… Kind of a cop-out answer again, but this series isn’t as fresh in my mind as I’d like it to be. ;A;interactions i enjoyed the most: I’d be lying if I said anyone other than Albert and the Count. Every time they were in the same room as each other I was on the edge of my seat lapping that shit up.the character who scares me the most: This is another one where I think I’d need to refresh my memory on the series to give an accurate answer. I wish I had time to rewatch all the things. Especially this series, because it’s great.the character who is mostly like me: The Count. Obviously.hottest looks character: …The Count…one thing i dislike about my fave character: What I dislike about Albert is that people mischaracterise him and whine about how he was so mean to Franz. 8D What I dislike about the Count is that… well he was kind of consumed by revenge an’ all, which is obviously bad. But this is the one time where I’m like “Okay, you looked good while you were doing it”.one thing i like about my hated character: You know, I can’t think of anyone from Gankutsuou who I actually hated. Even most of the characters you were supposed to not like were pretty interesting.a quote or scene that haunts me: That the power of queer kisses saves the day.a death that left me indifferent: I’m tempted to be a massive dick here and say Franz, but nah I’m just messing with you. Franz’s death was emotional and all. Again I’d need to watch it again to remember any other death scenes.a character i wish died but didn’t: And again, I can’t think of anyone. I’m bad at this question because there aren’t many characters I look at and think the series would be better off if they were dead. They’d have to be pretty damn terrible for me to want that.my ship that never sailed: I was mostly here for one ship and that one sailed just fine for the time that it lasted.

Albert, Peppo, Hakushaku, Eugenie, Franz - Though honestly it’s kind of a toss up between Peppo and the Count. I think that Peppo is such an important character, but the Count is kind of my guilty pleasure.Anzu, Yugi, Jou, Yami, Seto - My thirteen-year-old self would never believe I’d ever rank Yugi higher than Yami, but I guess preferences can change with time. I do love all of them though, even if Seto is a massive baby.

FOXES GAY DEATH OR FRANZ'S GAY DEATH

First of all: HEY CALVIN LOOK, IT’S SOMEONE WHO’S NOT YOU SENDING ME A GANKUTSUOU ASK. 8DDDOkay, but answer time. And it has to be an honest answer, even if I feel terrible for it.The thing with Gankutsuou is that it is perfectly written (save for a few things, but let’s not get into that now) and Franz’s death is also perfectly written. I genuinely wouldn’t change it. Even though it’s obviously sad that Franz died I was able to appreciate his death as part of the story.Now Neverland 2011 is possibly my favourite adaptation of Peter Pan so far (though I do want to take a good look at 2015′s Peter & Wendy, because I like what I’ve heard about), but it probably isn’t up to Gakutsuou’s standards in terms of writing. HOWEVER, Peter/Fox is essentially Crow/Badger and of course this was a crosscast that fucked me up good for the movie. A-and then caused me to come up with AUs (though technically not AUs because they don’t strictly go against or alter canon?) where Fox was actually rescued by the mermaids and became a magical merfolk boy. So Fox & Peter can meet up later to be magical boyfriends. I NEVER SAID I WASN’T A HOPELESS SAP. ;A;S-so even though I’ll be the first to say that Franz’s gay death was probably technically better than Fox’s gay death and it does pain me to choose between them, I’m going to have to go with Fox here just because it affected me the most. Both are A+ gay deaths though.

Edmond who changed his mind in ep15 and survived / Albert in his twenties

First of all - HOW COULD YOU FUCKING DO THIS TO ME…! HOW COULD YOU GIVE ME EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED…! HOW DARE YOU (IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE)…! ;A;Right, meme:who’s the cuddler: Albert is the cuddler and needs to teach Edmond in the art of cuddling as the years go on.

who makes the bed: Bertuccio, because these rich kids don’t know how good they’ve got it. Eventually they learn, but they’re never quite as good.

who wakes up first: Edmond, who watches Albert until he wakes up. Albert swears he will do the same one day, because he finds it very romantic, but he is too much of a sound sleeper.

who has the weird taste in music: Edmond has perfect taste in music and eventually Albert picks it up. Though he already has wonderful taste from listening to Eugénie’s performances.

who is more protective: They are both protective, but Edmond more so, given everything that’s happened.

who sings in the shower: Albert

who cries during movies: Both of them

who spends the most while out shopping: Edmond

who kisses more roughly: Edmond does, to make Albert flustered.

who is more domineering: Pfft.

my rating of the ship from 1-10: 10/10, everything that I want to have in a ship but know wouldn’t be good for me.

• when or if I started shipping it.From the first episode. Literally the first few moments that these characters were shown to together. I just looked at them and went “This is it, that’s the thing that I ship”. And I was not disappointed.• my thoughts:Sometimes I feel bad that I’m so focused on them specifically, when Gankutsuou as a whole is such a fantastic show. They are far from the only thing that deserves my attention. But then… look at them! Just look at them…! They are the most tragic, beautiful, amazing, complex, simple, layered, raw, intense thing that ever happened. How could I not be distracted by them? • What makes me happy about them:Canon.• What makes me sad about them:Canon. Though I wouldn’t change a thing.• things done in art/fic that annoys me:Sadly there’s not enough art/fic of them about for me to have developed pet peeves. There are certainly things that I wouldn’t like to see done, but I can’t say those opinions would be based on fanwork that I’ve actually seen.• things I look for in art/fic:I look for art/fic full stop. I’m not specific.• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Albert is such a wonderful person that it’s so easy to ship him with many other characters, but if I had to choose only one then my preference would be Peppo/Albert.
