“Stop fidgeting, Mae. Feet apart. Wider. You need a solid foundation.” Mae blushed. What she needed was a break. She was getting tired, but she didn’t want to admit it. Instead, she turned her body, and with a swift motion, she pivoted, driving her back leg out. Her kick snapped through the air, but it lacked Mother Koril’s power and precision. Mae felt herself wobble, her balance slightly off. Before she could adjust, Mother Koril was on her. The Zabrak moved with speed, catching Mae’s ankle in midair and twisting just enough to throw Mae off balance completely. Mae stumbled, barely managing to stay on her feet. “Your balance is still weak, and your kick had no power. In a real fight, you don’t have time to adjust or recover.
