Obsessed with the idea that Bruce has never been ever in any way threatening or scary to his kids.

Villains? Sure. People on the street? Maybe. Some small children? He's an intimidating man, on occasion certainly.

But never his kids. Never them.

Batman, the glowering, flowing, mass of shadow comes swirling towards Nightwing, the picture of menacing anger, and Dick just crosses his arm and juts out his chin, absolutely unbothered.

Bruce, six foot five, towering mass of muscle, ducks the pen Barbara throws at his head and absolutely pelts her with a pillow, screaming. Barbara doesn't even flinch, just screams back. (they aren't yelling words, to specify, just screeching incoherently for dominance)

Sure, Cass and Steph still twitch whenever he raises his hand, but that's more because they're used to the motion having a connotation of violence- not Bruce. They flinch at Dick and Jason too.

And yeah, Damian and Jason twitch whenever they mess up and Bruce sighs with frustration, but its because of what they've been taught before, not because of Bruce's character.

Just- just Bruce Wayne, The freaking Batman, towering mass of a man, wider than a fridge and taller than a doorway, being absolutely incredibly unthreatening to his kids.

He grabs Steph's arm and yanks her behind him and she doesn't even think to move out of reach.

He storms towards Jason and the thought that it's because he's attacking him doesn't even cross his mind before he's crushed in a hug.

Bruce being huge and aggressive and large in his gestures and actions and everything and his kids do not care.
