I’m a huge fan of Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He’s such a terrific actor. In that scene I felt really bad for John. He did a lot of wrong but he also did the best he could considering the circumstances. And despite everything, he raised his boys right.

Jules showed up to work in a black jacket, the air crisp and only just warm enough that she couldn’t see her cloud of breath in the air. The cold didn’t bother her much though, especially not once she started moving. So by the time noon rolled around and the sun began showing its face, she’d easily worked up just a hint of a sweat and the jacket was gone. She figured it was about time to appease her stomach screaming at her for lunch though and head back from where she came.

About a week ago she’d handled the process of approving an archaeological project on one of the many locations she worked on, to begin today. So she’d be here for the extent of the project, to ensure any nearby wildlife didn’t bother the people digging, nor them the animals. 

She walked up to their setup, eyeing the woman she’d met last week as she got closer. “Hey,” she greeted casually, looking down at her. “How’s it going?”
