Beginnings of another work suggested by intuition (via automatic drawing) and the tarot. After being given and eagle and a dolphin by the automatic drawing exercise, I decided to draw a tarot card and got the 13th arcane, Death. . The 13th arcanum (along with the 16th, "The Tower") are in my opinion very representative of the current world: destruction of structures in order to create transmutation. . I decided to discard the dolphin image and go with the eagle because to me it seemed more in tune with the meaning of the arcanum. Eagle symbolize resilience, connection with the the higher truths, and a broad perspective vision. In my interpretation that was a clear message to look beyond and above all the turmoil in order to see what is hidden by all the murkiness. . Two details in the arcanum image, as represented by the Thoth tarot (my deck of choice and supreme favorite) just came to my attention after having the drawing all planned up: there's an EAGLE on the top left side of the card! And a FISH next to the skeleton - so my discarded dolphin would also have made a lot of sense if I had decided to incorporate it to the drawing... . It's always so exciting the way that Spirit talks to me through symbols... and the opportunity to use my ability to translate those in images of wisdom and hope so I can bring you their messages is a work of love I will be always grateful for.
