Casual switch...
The SYLPH OF SPACE was able to vacate the impact site with several features of her buried landscape in tow.
It doesn’t surprise me that Kanaya is the Space Player, given her many similarities to Jade. A Land of Rays - cosmic rays, perhaps - is appropriate, although it might be even more appropriate for a Light Player.
A sylph is a spirit of the air, often depicted as ephemeral or invisible. It suits a stealthy class with spiritually-flavored abilities, centered around support and reconnaissance.
She sits atop her session's dormant FORGE.
I searched the Collection, and the word forge has only been used once before, notably by Kanaya. As a game term, it’s new.
The Forge is part of Kanaya’s dormant volcano, brought into the session alongside her hive.
It’s been strongly hinted that Jade’s volcano, on Anachronism Island, will share the same fate. These volcanoes are important.
They don’t seem to be game constructs, though. Jade’s was around before the meteor, so it didn’t grow from the Temple’s ‘seed’.
It seems like, when the game designates a spot for the Frog Temple, it always chooses somewhere with a volcano. This volcano, or part of it, becomes the ‘Forge’ for the Temple’s session, whatever that means.
Aradia’s blue Temple doesn’t have one, but I think this is an exception that proves the rule. Kanaya is atop her session’s Forge, singular - and this uniqueness is enforced, even in a weird, two-Temple session.
I love the little nest of pillows she’s brought out for her GameFAQs session.
Kanaya’s been here for hours, and Rose’s guide ended before the First Gate. She has no more advice to give, and her last words to Kanaya were...
Kanaya’s advantage has run out, and I don’t think she knows what to do next.
