grayson @5robins and i have been playing magic the gathering the past week (v v exciting for me, i played mtg a TON as a teen & have been wanting to get back into it). i got a squirrel commander deck (hazel of the bloomroot) thinking they might like it and in fact they're OBSESSED with it lol. what's more, they've beaten me EVERY SINGLE TIME we've played. usually it hasn't even been close (tho this last game i almost had them! save for a well-timed creature removal cast with a mana ability i'd forgotten they had!)

thankfully i don't mind losing lol, as long as we're both having fun playing i'm happy ^u^ and they are having a GREAT time with their squirrels c:

7: would you want to live in the world of your current work?

i think i’ve built a very friendly d&d world, where people are generally cool and threats are usually environmental rather than someone being an evil/violent shithead, BC THAT’S WHAT I CAN HANDLE. i was not being subtle when i made my players’ homebase city my perfect place - a small and diverse city known for its honey meads and its awesome museum. heck yes i would live there :D :D

had a nice doctor's appointment. my doctor rly listens to me & actually dedicates a Lot Of Time to our appointments so i can get through the gd laundry list of my problems #myproblems

grayson could come with me this time! they drove there so i wasn't as completely exhausted, plus we could make a list of what to talk about on the way & they could make sure i hit the points i wanted to. when they can't come i tend to be much more withdrawn & scattered

on the way back we stopped by a cute grocery store/market to grab lunch to go. i got 2-for-1 hanging baskets of flowers for grayson, plus tasty wraps, plus chips & cookies, plus a fancy bev for later. very picnic-y vibes, tho the intent was not to have a picnic b/c i rly just can't be out of the a/c for more than a minute

got back to the car juuuuust as it started to rain. and then the sky fucking Opened Up ! ! ! made the drive back a Bit harrowing, but the roads were largely empty so it really wasn't bad

got home and it was raining harder than ever, so we sat in the car in the driveway and ended up having kind of a picnic after all while we waited for it to clear up a bit! then made a mad dash for the door :)) it turned the otherwise fairly mundane outing into a little adventure and i'm rly happy ^u^ i love my spouse
