98DEMAKE’s “If The Evil Within was made in 1998″
One of my favorite of their videos, as it really captures the “trying to cram a console game to a handheld that couldn’t handle it” vibe that a few GBC games of the era had. Specifically, I’m reminded of Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare and the unreleased port of Resident Evil.
My final batch of digital games for the year. Most of these I finished months ago so some minor details are a bit fuzzy. Castle Crashers is a good time. I played it solo but it's great with friends too. I really dig the art style and the humor. Turning Test was a neat little puzzle game that will probably draw some aesthetic comparisons to Portal although I found the game a bit easier than portal. SEPTEMBER 1999 was a good little experience. It's more of a tech demo than a game but it being free means that isn't a big issue, the game looks amazing though. UBERMOSH: SANTICIDE was more of the same from that series (mind you that isn't a bad thing, the series is a fun time to play for those looking for games to play on breaks due to the short nature of the games) I really like the sound design of the series as well. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is a "sequel" to one of my favorite horror games but it misses the mark in places. The enemies never really posed a threat and the removal of some of the mechanics from the first game really hurt it. The music was good and the story was interesting. But the puzzles were pretty boring and really easy. If you enjoyed The Dark Descent I'd avoid this one. With that I move to my last game... And return to a town I haven't been to in a while. #amnesia #thechineseroom #turingtest #september1999 #98demake #castlecrashers #ubermosh https://www.instagram.com/p/Br5vB0enGBB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17rqzjfaq09wt
