what is Devotio ? Are you a group?

As the disciple of Devotio, it is my calling to spread the word of Devotio. When cadets and recruits find me, I encourage them to improve themselves through the ancient ritual. Our scribe @devotio-scribe writes down our history in the making and I share His words.

But now fr, right now Devotio it's just me writing short stories about the academy. I like to include and cater to the desires of my followers, as it helps me explore my own desires too. If people would like to roleplay I'm not against forming a group or creating a community of Devotio, but as of now I'm content just writing.

Devotio is based on this ritual and votum from the ancient Roman military.

Not much is known about it, and I am certainly no expert on ancient Roman religion. I took this concept of military men devoting oneself to the Gods of the underworld in the hope to achieve victory as part of a larger story.

I worked out a whole political system, founding story and character arcs for some key figures. In the end life got too busy to write it all out, so I decided to just focus on some short stories taking place at the police/military academy.
