HEADCANON/BIO UPDATE:

Alecto Carrow is a natural legilimens. She is untrained and unaware that she possesses this gift, her parents having never taken enough care to notice. It works best with her twin, which she simply assumes is due to thier closeness and nothing else. She has always thought herself overly sensitive and observant, never thinking too much about the emotions and moments she picks up from others to be anything more than her own projections. As a very underdeveloped skill, most things Alecto picks up from others are simply shadows, the echo of a thought or emotion. She usually tries to ignore it. If someone were to come along and notice her gift, she could be primed for manipulation and or training....

Your new troll - how did she end up nearly starved to death?

[[She wasn’t that great of a hunter in the first place (She’s better with fishing and catching crabs and snakes) and hunting was left to another troll. She’d mostly just skin the kills to trade for other things (and otherwise mostly avoid towns and people). The person she was with disappeared somewhat after Pilgrim’s Bounty and while she was mostly just scrapping by since then, she was still somewhat malnourished. With the goblin tainting the water she had to move towards upper stranglethorn, dealing with more trolls, crocs, and other things, and between avoiding things that may or may not actually have been a danger, recovery from injuries from various things, and her weakened state she slowly got worse and ended up resorting to trying to steal food instead when she could.]]
