you already have so much information just from our DMs, but I suppose I can offer more for you and everyone else that sees this ask. And it's a long fic, so if you don't mind, I'm just going to pick a couple of my favorite scenes (if you or anyone else wants a director's cut of a different scene, please let me know)
First scene: the meeting in chapter 1
Originally, this fic was going to be a much shorter enemies to lovers story. It was supposed to be just a few chapters and progress quickly from meeting to the first date to them getting together at the end. As you know, I wrote the climactic scene from chapter 11 first. What you don't know is that certain plot twists weren't there at the beginning. They were added after I made the decision while writing chapter 1 to make Dream/Sogno more mysterious. And I'm so glad I did that, even if it meant more work later, because it added so much depth to the story.
Second scene: breakfast together
I really enjoyed writing this scene so much. Not just because of the fluff in it with their obvious attraction, but with the underlying tension keeping them apart. You have no idea how many times I wanted Giorgio to throw himself into Sogno's arms and kiss him senseless 🤭 but I restrained myself and it paid off in the end. Another fun fact about that scene - it took me a long time to figure out what kind of food they were going to share. There's not a lot of information online about Renaissance Italian food lol.
