Alignment descriptions.
Basic alignments
Good: to be selfless to the point of taking away from yourself.
Generally this only works if everyone else is good. After all 50% to your self and 50% to everyone else well exceeds 100% effort at only three people!
Now that's teamwork!
Evil: to be selfish to the point of taking away from others.
Sometimes no one will help you buy you. And so taking 20% from everyone else is a need not a want. If everyones evil though you can hit rock bottom easy if you're not better than them.
Neutral: to be selfish in a way as to not directly nor indirectly take from another.
Essentially 100% to yourself only. We all have ups and downs though. We can't give 100% every day. So when we're under we take and when we're over we give. Naturally neutral like good people so they never need to take.
Lawful: to act in a way that is predictive and that has been agreed upon by others who are not you.
If you don't steal you never steal. If you punch first you always punch first. It's easy to get to know you because you act deliberately and openly and in character.
Chaotic: to act in a way that no stranger will ever be able to fully understand without spending much time learning about you specifically.
You never act the same. You could say one thing and do another. You keep secrets that people should know. You do things with reason context or build up. Simply untrustworthy but it's not like you have better choices.
Extreame alignments
True Good: to act in a manner that not only expects but otherwise forces everyone else to be selfless whether they like it or not.
Since being good requires teamwork there's no need to be nice after all. Chores, time tables. Everyone will participate so everyone has it easier.
True Evil: to act in a manner that demands everyone else act in an equally selfish if not simply self serving manner at the expense of everyone inside and outside your group.
Like robbing a grocery store so often it shuts down or has to hike the prices to the point we're everyone needs to steal and Rob the grocery store. Somethings are essential after all.
True Lawful: to act as an arbiter of truth and rightousness. To police everyone and their actions so they act as they should.
Stupid laws and nonsense orders will not deter you from doing as asked or ordered. We all need to do what is needed of us or people get confused and irrational.
True Chaotic: to act purposefully to make everything and everyone not make sense around you so that someone cannot even address you without completing your homebrew mental gymnastics you made up for today. Tomorrow you may or may not have a new set they need to spin through.
Individualism to the point of being unable to be understood without direct engagement. Such people are terrifying to strangers. Especially strangers who have been harmed or wronged in the past by unknown people.
Balanced: to be directly and utterly opposed to any true alignment to the point of siding against it at every given opportunity irrelevant of what that requires of you.
Because we all need to live together and certain extreams can and will hurt each other and their members.
