*Overkill ports Heat Street* Me: Matt: Wait,...
tbh i think the “this is familiar” is joking abt the port but like, still. matt is canonically in prison in pd2 timeline/verse?? i havent played, was there like, any explanation or was it like Lmao Mattios Here Now, get fucked,
The explanation is that Locke has found out that omg someone plans to kill the Payday Gang! Luckily Locke has also tracked down one of their accomplices, who turns out to be DUN DUN DUN Matt. And Matt is as Matt does, so the whole process of Heat Street begins again, verbatim-ish (there’s some minor L4D-style variance, but not enough to make this premise not 9_9).
Like, how did Matt get out of prison? Why did none of the original crew find it REAL FKN INTRIGUING how they were going to this same building where Matt betrayed them? Why is it the Locke is so in the know about this massassination plot, but Bain isn’t? And if Bain doesn’t trust Locke, why does he send his A Team out on a tip from him? WHY DOES THAT DOOR LOCK FROM THE OUTSIDE?
These are the questions you cannot ask yourself if you want to blissfully enjoy Overkill’s writing.
